6. #6Egg Planet Park

Keys: Egg Planet Park · Secondary: Space, Eggman

   (1) Description of the location: Egg Planet Park is an artificial celestial body built and maintained entirely by Dr. Eggman, designed to be the center of his entertainment empire. Aesthetically, it combines the forced cheerfulness of a futuristic amusement park with the oppressive architecture of Eggman's metal and machinery, featuring gigantic glowing loops, roller coasters transformed into missile tracks, and "water" fountains made of oil or red energy. Its geography is controlled: vast flat areas for robot parades contrast with vertical labyrinths designed to exhaust any intruder. Its stated function is leisure, but its real function is to serve as the main weapons testing center and a propaganda stage to display the "superiority" of the Eggman Empire.

   (2) Events in the story: Despite being a trap, the Park has become the scene of crucial confrontations. In one of their most notable invasions, Sonic and his allies managed to infiltrate during the "Doctor's Victory Festival". The subsequent battle transformed the main carousel into a fighting ring against a colossal Badnik, while Tails and Knuckles disabled the power generators in the "Arcade" sector. The climax often involves Sonic needing to disarm the "Central Entertainment Core," which is actually an energy overload device designed to emit shockwaves throughout the neighboring planet.

   (3) Current situation: The situation of Egg Planet Park is volatile. It is rarely completely destroyed, as Eggman considers the structure a valuable investment; However, after each heroic incursion, the area suffers massive damage and becomes temporarily inoperative, only to be quickly repaired and rebranded with a new attraction theme. Its legacy is constant proof of Dr. Eggman's resilience: even after defeat, the evil infrastructure remains, requiring the forces of good to remain constantly vigilant to prevent the full reactivation of the leisure/weapon complex.

8. #8Eggmanland

   Keys: Robotnikland, Robotropolis, Eggmanland

   Eggmanland

   (1) Location Description: Eggmanland is the pinnacle of Dr. Ivo Robotnik's technological empire—a nocturnal megacity built with megalomaniacal architecture, a fusion of theme park, industrial complex, and military fortress. Gear-shaped skyscrapers, roller coasters winding between turbines, artificial lava rivers, and dazzling neon lights form a landscape that is both fascinating and apocalyptic. Everything vibrates to the mechanical sound of uninterrupted factories, robots marching in sync, and loudspeakers proclaiming the "Eggmanian utopia" of robotic perfection. The atmosphere is suffocating—the air heavy with ozone and metallic smoke, the ground vibrating with geothermal energy diverted from the subsoil. The city was conceived as the ultimate realization of Eggman's dream: a world dominated by machines, free from organic imperfection.

   (2) Events in the Story: The result of decades of failed plans and reconstructions. After fragmenting the planet by unleashing Dark Gaia, Eggman erected Eggmanland as the capital of his domain, concentrating the robotic forces that exploited energy from the planet's core. Sonic, in his Werehog form, confronted the city during the final stretch of his journey—an infernal labyrinth of conveyor belts, traps, and flaming towers. The city's infrastructure housed both the empire's command center and the machines responsible for channeling corrupted Gaia energy. Alongside Chip (Light Gaia), Sonic faced not only Eggman but also the consequences of the world's collapsing energy itself. The partial destruction of the city marked the end of Eggman's temporary dominion and the rebirth of planetary balance.

   (3) Current Situation: Following the events of Unleashed, Eggmanland was largely destroyed. Fragments of the metropolis remain — broken towers, suspended tracks, dormant factories — now occupied by autonomous robots that continue to operate without command, like echoes of a dead empire. Eggman tried to rebuild the project several times (smaller versions appeared in Sonic Forces and Generations), but none reached the original scale. The main area is considered a forbidden zone: the ground still radiates heat and residual energy, and the underground mechanisms remain active, moving as if the city had a will of its own. Eggmanland survives more as a symbol — a reminder of how close the world came to being swallowed by an industrial tyranny.

After the incident involving Shadow's premature awakening and the death of Maria Robotnik during the military invasion, the colony was sealed, declared a forbidden zone, and taken out of operation. Decades later, Gerald's grandson, Dr. Ivo “Eggman” Robotnik, reactivated the station and found records of the “Eclipse Cannon Program,” a massive weapon integrated into the ARK's structure capable of destroying entire planets when powered by the Chaos Emeralds. Eggman attempted to use the ARK as a tool for global domination, freeing Shadow to assist him. However, the plan was corrupted by Gerald's final code—a revenge protocol that would put the colony on a collision course with Mobius, punishing humanity for the loss of Maria. Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Shadow, and Rouge joined forces to neutralize the catastrophe, preventing the impact through the power of the emeralds and Shadow's final redemption.

    (3) Current Situation: After the events of the averted collision, the Space Colony ARK remains partially damaged, in an irregular orbit, with several sectors abandoned or inoperative. Some areas have been looted by explorers or used by factions for research into forbidden technology. Gerald's original scientific records were sealed by the government, and much of the colony became a silent memorial—a metallic tomb floating above Mobius, a symbol of the limits of scientific ambition and the weight of human consequences. When the comet returned fifty years later, Black Doom initiated his invasion, deploying forces across Mobius and attempting to manipulate Shadow into fulfilling the ancient promise by bringing him the Chaos Emeralds. Shadow, recovering fragmented memories and struggling with his identity, was torn between Black Doom's claims of kinship and his own sense of right and wrong. The conflict culminated when Shadow, having rejected Black Doom's vision and reclaimed his purpose to protect humanity as Maria wished, used the Chaos Emeralds to achieve his Super form and confronted Black Doom's final form—Devil Doom—within the comet itself. The battle resulted in the Black Comet's complete destruction, with Shadow utilizing the Eclipse Cannon to obliterate the remaining fragments, ending the Black Arms threat.

    (3) Current Situation: The Black Comet was completely destroyed during Shadow's final confrontation with Black Doom, shattered into countless fragments that burned up in Mobius's atmosphere or drifted into deep space. No significant portions of the comet survived intact, and the Black Arms species was effectively rendered extinct—or at least removed from Mobius's cosmic neighborhood. Debris occasionally falls as meteorites, with some fragments studied by G.U.N. and scientific organizations hoping to understand the alien biology and technology. Shadow's Black Arms DNA remains the only living connection to the destroyed species, a reminder of his unique origin and the darkness he chose to reject. The comet's destruction represents Shadow's definitive answer to questions about his identity and purpose: he is neither weapon nor alien conqueror, but a protector who makes his own choices. The Black Comet's fate serves as a warning that threats to Mobius can come from beyond the planet, and that the cosmos contains dangers requiring vigilance and heroes willing to confront impossible odds.
