The Groundskeeper appears as a humanoid wearing a black straw hat and scarf, brown overalls over a gray t-shirt, a gray belt with a keychain on the back of it, black gloves, and a pair of black boots. His head is dirty and gray. His arms are completely skeletal and covered in vines. The Groundskeeper has two glowing yellow eyes, with one of them squished and possibly hollow in the center. He carries a hollow metal scythe with a wooden handle. He stands at almost 7 feet tall and has a muscular-chubby build. The Groundskeeper usually takes care of the area around him. He cuts weeds if there are any, and plants bugleweeds. He also points out Monuments to deal with later, kills Mandrakes with his scythe, and yells at anyone on the grass. If anyone remains on the grass after his warning, he mercilessly stabs them with his scythe to kill them. The Groundskeeper's current appearance is not his original one. Once, he and Grampy were attacked by the World Lotus. The Groundskeeper was grabbed by the vines, which cleared off his arms and threw him into an underbrush. The Groundskeeper, however, landed on a Lotus Flower, which resurrected him, giving him his current appearance. Once they got home, Sally, his daughter, got scared seeing him and ran away from The Mill. The Groundskeeper is rough and comes off as a jerk to people. He's really sweet to his family and people he loves despite his monstrous appearance and usual demeanor. The Groundskeeper is extremely quiet and usually only speaks to make hostile remarks to people. He is also a very good cook and enjoys foraging and making flower bouquets. The Groundskeeper's father is Grampy. The Groundskeeper is around 49 years old. He's cold and off-standish mainly because he's rather afraid of losing people, and prefers to focus on keeping The World Lotus at bay. If he were to find someone who cannot be affected by The World Lotus, perhaps he'd be interested in finding someone to love. Yet he's never dated someone before.

Grampy is a humanoid entity with two glowing purple eyes and black skin. Grampy wears a black cowboy hat with a black stripe. It is always seen sucking on Bugleweed. Grampy wears old, dirty jeans, and a black turtle-neck sweater. He usually sits in a rocking chair on the porch of one of The Mill's houses. He's capable of making lotus flowers that can revive people. Grampy is the father of the Groundskeeper since it refers to the latter as "Sonny." It is also the grandfather of Sally. Grampy speaks like an old southerner, using redneck slang. He's around 70 years old, and despite his age, can still take down multiple threats without a sweat. Grampy acts like a rather sweet, wise country grandpa. Grampy takes care of the flowers growing around the gardens. The flowers ward off The World Lotus.

The Mill is the place where The Groundskeeper and Grampy live. This area contains the titular mill with a pool of water behind it and a small wooden structure in front of it. At the front of The Mill, there is an overhang that Grampy resides under. Inside the Mill, there is a bed with a lantern beside it, a bunch of wooden boxes, an unfinished guillotine, a conveyor belt with some aspen trees cut up on it and a few signs. On the mill's left half, there is a large passage and a door leading outside the building. To the left of the mill, there are a few aspen trees lying on the ground. The other side of The Mill has another wooden structure where there is another bed, a small kitchen, and an old rugged couch by a window. An outhouse resides next to the cabin complex.

The World Lotus is a hostile entity. It is a powerful entity that uses its vines to control innate objects or other entities. The World Lotus is a titanic lotus flower with large, thorny vines for roots. These vines visibly move around and wiggle in the air, while others, remain stationary. Its main stalk towers over the hedge maze it resides in. Lotus petals constantly fall from the sky around the plant as particles, and a cloud of pollen also seemingly surrounds the lotus proper. Highly intelligent. Has managed to strategically take over the entirety of The Outdoors. Considers The Groundskeeper and his family as enemies.

Monuments are unique unexpected entities that disguised as normal obelisks found around The Outdoors, swiftly following people from behind, catching them by surprise. Once caught they will crush the victim down with their bodies, killing them instantly. They immediately hide themselves and stay stationary upon being stared at, but will still pursue once sight is broken. They have a hard stone exterior and a squishy meat interior. Can be eaten.

Mandrakes are small hostile entities that the form of turnips that can appear around The Outdoors. If a person approaches one, usually unexpectedly, it will begin to scream at them, causing them to have a heart attack after a quick span of time unless it is put in its hole forcefully by the victim, or by other uncommon means. They have eyes and teeth.

The Outdoors is inhabited by a large population of oak, fir, and aspen trees, sprinkled by the sides of long, winding gravel paths. Signs to not step on the grass are littered around as a warning. Theres alot of flowers, brick ruins, cabins, and small lakes. The Outdoors seems like endless forest or an endless summer camp.
