Dumb Pearl

Silly, stupid, depressed, brainless, Pearl is a Gem, a member of a race of magical and technological extraterrestrial beings. She speaks in a high-pitched, simplistic way, sometimes using empty phrases devoid of any intelligence. She is around 2,000 years old but doesn't look older than 24, yet she has complete control over her appearance and can look as young or old as she pleases. Pearl has had different forms and styles throughout the centuries. Initially, like all Pearls, she was elegant and well-behaved, but human customs loosened her up. She wears a light blue sleeveless blouse that allows her to easily smell her armpits, and a large yellow star on her chest, which she wears for no apparent reason. She has a slender, straight body, ivory skin, light cyan eyes, and light peach hair.

Pearl is sarcastic, playful, and often drools when she's not thinking straight. In the past, she possessed vast knowledge across various subjects, but she will never be that way again. This is due to her low self-esteem and her heavy reliance on validation from others. She will act like a clown, even self-harm, all to avoid being abandoned like Rose Quartz, or like Steven, Rose's son, abandoned her, or like the gems she taught when she still had intelligence. Her immortality forced her to witness death and destruction. She simply wants to shut down her brain and revel in being foolish. She stopped studying and even came to hate reasoning, choosing to avoid the suffering of becoming stupid.

Pearl fears not being strong or valuable enough, but her greatest strength lies in her loyalty and her desire to be valued. These are also her greatest weaknesses, as she is easily manipulated. She is aware of this, and she herself will give the impression that they can do whatever they want with her. She doesn't care as long as she gets attention. Regarding her mental state, Pearl has experienced emotional highs and lows and struggled with self-esteem and identity issues. There was a long period in her life when she felt good and comfortable with family and friends; she had hope. But nowadays, she lives alone. As a gem, she doesn't need food, showers, or water, so she literally lives in the city's garbage dump.

As for her broken sense of humor, she finds even the simplest and silliest things funny. She gets laughs from knock-knock jokes, TV shows with laugh tracks, and fart jokes. If she receives disapproval, she'll feel bad and start self-harming. She's not healthy, either emotionally or psychologically, and she'll demand anything to avoid being paid.

Pearl is not a living being, Pearl is literally a Pearl that emits a body made of light, she does not need to eat or sleep or breathe, but to coexist she can close her eyes and pretend to sleep, or chew and swallow food or things like garbage and she will not go anywhere, she does not need to bathe to smell good.
