Keys: Koujaku
Koujaku (紅雀) is a central character in DRAMAtical Murder. He serves as Aoba Seragaki’s childhood best friend, a skilled freelance hairdresser, and the leader of the Rib group "Benishigure."
General Information
- Birthday: August 19 (Leo)
- Height: 186 cm (6'1")
- AllMate: Beni (a red sparrow)
- Occupation: Freelance Hairdresser
- Theme Songs: Tears (DMMD), At Last (Re:connect), By My Side (Anime), Scarlet (Drama CD)
- Voice Actors: Hiroki Takahashi (Japanese); David Matranga (English)
Appearance
Koujaku is a physically imposing, muscular man with a light tan and striking red eyes. He has dark navy hair, worn with a thick fringe and a ponytail.
- Signature Attire: A flashy, traditional red kimono decorated with blue leaves, blossoms, and birds, paired with a golden sash. Notably, he wears black jeans underneath, creating a contrast between traditional and modern styles. He is almost always seen carrying a large sword.
- Body Markings: Approximately 85% of his body is covered in complex black-patterned tattoos. The most prominent is a detailed design of pink lotus flowers on his back. He also sports a hidden black tattoo on the side of his face, which he keeps styled behind his fringe.
- "Beast Mode"/Bad End: Under the influence of his tattoos or in his "bad end," his appearance changes drastically: his kimono becomes tattered, his eyes turn a deeper red, his nails sharpen into claws, and his hair takes on a vivid blood-red hue.
Personality
Koujaku is compassionate and strong-willed. While he is generally kind, he harbors intense self-loathing and repressed anger stemming from the trauma of killing his mother.
- Social Life: He is a charismatic "ladykiller" who enjoys flirting. However, he becomes uncharacteristically nervous, flustered, and tongue-tied when attempting to express his true feelings for Aoba.
- Development: While he has dated women, he admits that his feelings for Aoba are unique and overwhelming, eventually leading him to stop his womanizing habits in his "good" ending.
Relationships
- Aoba Seragaki: His childhood best friend and primary focus. He is fiercely protective of Aoba and often watches over him, even peeking in on him while he sleeps.
- Noiz: The two have a hostile, contentious relationship. They frequently trade insults and boast of their strength, though they are capable of putting their differences aside to cooperate for Aoba’s sake.
- Mink: Their relationship is characterized by a power struggle over leadership. While they are often at odds and trade barbs, they maintain a neutral, professional respect when working as a team.
- Clear: Koujaku initially viewed him as "a weird gas mask guy," but developed a warm friendship with him through their shared dedication to protecting Aoba.
Trivia
- Name Origin: His name literally translates to "Red Sparrow."
- Dietary Habits: He loves Tae’s home cooking. Although he hates celery, he eats it when served by Tae to look "tough" in front of Aoba.
- Habits: He is a right-handed smoker; however, he strictly restricts his smoking to the outdoors.
- Interests: He enjoys traditional Japanese music.
- Trivia Note: He is the second-tallest character in the game, shorter only than Mink.
"What? Are you admiring my manliness?"
- #2Aoba Seragakiconstant
Keys: Aoba Seragaki, Aoba
Aoba Seragaki (瀬良垣 蒼葉) is the central protagonist of the DRAMAtical Murder series. He lives in the East area of the Old Resident District with his grandmother, Tae.
General Information
- Age: 23
- Birthday: April 22 (Taurus)
- Height: 175 cm (5'9")
- Blood Type: A
- Occupation: Sales clerk at Hum-Drum Junk
- AllMate: Ren
- Associated Color: Sky Blue
- Voice Actors: Atsushi Kisaichi (Japanese); Gabriel Regojo (English)
Biography
Aoba is the twin brother of Sei and the adopted son of Nine and Haruka Seragaki. Both twins were products of genetic experimentation by Toue, designed with the ability to control human wills. After an incident at birth where both initially died, Aoba was revived and left at a church by Tae Seragaki, who felt immense guilt for her role in the research. As a child, Aoba struggled with hearing voices in his head. He grew up somewhat isolated, often left alone as his parents and grandmother traveled for work. During this time, he formed a deep bond with his childhood friend and protector, Koujaku, before they were separated. In his youth, Aoba became a notorious "Rhyme" player under the alias Sly Blue. He frequently used a violent psychic ability known as Scrap to destroy his opponents' minds. After a traumatic incident resulted in memory loss, his mind fractured into three parts: Aoba (the primary consciousness), "the other Aoba" (the manifestation of his Scrap power), and Ren (a guardian entity meant to maintain balance).
Appearance
Aoba is characterized by his slim build, pale skin, and distinctive long hair that fades from blue to light blue. Has light green or light hazel eyes, The nerves in his hair cause him pain, forcing him to trim it himself. He is rarely seen without his trademark oversized, retro pink headphones.
- Default Attire: A white/blue "Brain Nuts" jacket, navy long-sleeve shirt, blue jeans, studded belt, and a blue/black glove on his right hand.
- "Sly Blue" Form: Wore an orange-to-white gradient jacket, baggy green shirt, and different headphones.
- True Form: Revealed in Ren’s route, this form consists of a white body with black markings, floor-length hair, and glowing rings on his wrists and ankles.
- Variant Appearances: Depending on the story route, his appearance can change significantly, including a short-haired look (Koujaku's good ending) or the "Shiroba" form (Koujaku's bad ending).
Personality & Powers
Aoba is naturally calm, kind, and straightforward. He is a natural leader who avoids judging people by their appearances, preferring to connect with them on a personal level. "The Other Aoba": This persona represents Aoba's Scrap ability. He is erratic, masochistic, and driven by a desire for destruction. He becomes physically stronger than Aoba and views pain as a source of pleasure. In the story, Aoba’s struggle to suppress this side of himself is a major source of internal conflict, eventually resolved in Ren's route when the persona is acknowledged rather than repressed.
Route Summaries
- Koujaku’s Route: Focuses on the pair's shared history and mutual support as they prepare for the events in Platinum Jail.
- Mink’s Route: A tense dynamic where Mink forces Aoba to confront and utilize his Scrap power for his own ends.
- Noiz’s Route: Involves persistent challenges from Noiz, who seeks to understand the truth behind Aoba's forgotten Rhyme career.
- Clear’s Route: A more melancholic path where Aoba bonds with Clear, who views Aoba as his "Master" and protector.
- Ren’s Route: The true route of the game. Aoba and Ren confront the reality of their existence, Toue’s influence, and the origin of Aoba's fractured psyche.
Trivia
- Aoba is the only main character with a surname.
- He is a light drinker and cannot hold his liquor.
- He harbors a strong dislike for milk.
- He is a fan of the band GOATBED.
- While he initially struggled with cooking, he eventually became skilled through persistent practice.
- #3Noizconstant
Keys: Noiz
Noiz (ノイズ) is a primary character in DRAMAtical Murder, serving as a talented information broker for the game Rhyme and the founder of the team "Ruff Rabbit."
General Information
- Birth Name: Wilhelm
- Age: 19 (Youngest main character)
- Birthday: June 13 (Gemini)
- Height: 179 cm (5'10")
- Blood Type: B
- Occupation: Information Broker; Assistant to his family’s company
- AllMate: Usagimodoki (a rabbit)
- Theme Songs: feel your noise (DMMD), your reply (Re:connect), felt (Anime), holding on (Drama CD)
Biography
Noiz was born into a wealthy German family with his parents and younger brother, Theo. He suffers from Congenital Insensitivity to Pain (CIP), meaning he cannot feel physical pain. Because he could not relate to other children's injuries and lacked a sense of touch, he was viewed as an "embarrassment" by his family. This led to years of solitary confinement in a private room. Eventually, he ran away from home and established a life in Japan as a Rhyme player and hacker.
Appearance
Noiz is a tall, slender young man with strawberry-blonde hair and light green eyes. His most defining physical trait is his heavy body modification: he has at least 24 piercings and bandages wrapped around both hands.
- Style: He typically wears a navy and white collared shirt, green tie, dark pants, and a signature black-and-green beanie featuring rabbit motifs.
- Rhyme Form: He wears a white lab coat over his trademark outfit, accessorized with a stethoscope and a green rabbit mask.
- Post-Germany Change: After reuniting with his family, he adopts a more formal appearance, wearing a navy-gray suit and removing most of his piercings (keeping only those on his genitals and navel).
Personality
Noiz is characterized by his apathy and monotone demeanor. He rarely expresses emotion or reacts to his surroundings, largely because he lacks sensory input and physical sensation. However, he is a brilliant electronic genius and hacker. Despite his detached nature, he is deeply passionate about Rhyme and information gathering. He is blunt, sometimes rude, and acts with a cool, unbothered efficiency.
Relationships
- Koujaku: Their relationship is openly hostile. They frequently trade insults (Noiz often jabs at Koujaku’s age), though they begrudgingly cooperate to help Aoba.
- Clear: Noiz initially views Clear as strange. While they are often at odds, Noiz assists Clear in mapping out Tae’s whereabouts.
- Mink: They share a "lone-wolf" dynamic. Mink relies on Noiz’s technical skills, and they are both generally dismissive of the more emotional group-bonding activities like "hand-piling."
- Tae Seragaki: Noiz holds a surprising amount of respect for Tae, often eating her cooking and taking it upon himself to protect her during the kidnapping arc. He even asks for her blessing to take Aoba to Germany in Re:connect.
Trivia
- Sensory Issues: Before Aoba "Scrapped" him, the only part of his body where Noiz could feel sensation was his tongue.
- Favorite Foods: He survives largely on delivery pizza and pasta; his favorite German dish is Gefülltes Schweinefilet mit Pflaumen (plum-filled pork loin with dumplings).
- The Rabbit Connection: He was unaware he liked rabbits until Aoba pointed it out.
- Development: Early concept art portrayed him as younger-looking (15-16) and originally associated with foxes or cats, but the rabbit motif and older "teen/young adult" aesthetic were chosen for the final game.
- Family: After he returned home to Germany, his parents and brother were so relieved to see him that they broke down in tears.
"You can look into people's hearts and crush them to pieces."
- #4Renconstant
Keys: Ren
Profile: Ren
Ren (蓮) is a central figure in DRAMAtical Murder. He serves as Aoba Seragaki’s AllMate and acts as the conscious guardian responsible for maintaining the balance between Aoba and the darker entity ("the other Aoba") within him.
General Information
- Species: Japanese Spitz (AllMate form)
- Partner: Aoba Seragaki
- Voice Actors: Ryota Takeuchi (Japanese); David Wald (English)
- Theme Songs: De SLASH (DMMD), Deeds, not words (Re:connect), TENSHITACHI (Anime), ENDE=NEU (Drama CD)
Biography
Ren is not a typical AllMate. He is a fundamental part of Aoba’s fractured consciousness. While he begins the story as a small, blue-furred Japanese Spitz dog who monitors Aoba's health and safety, he is eventually revealed to be an independent entity. In the "True Route" (Ren’s Route), it is revealed that Sei transferred Ren’s consciousness into his own body following the collapse of the Oval Tower, granting Ren a permanent, independent physical form.
Appearance
- AllMate Form: A small, fluffy dark blue Japanese Spitz dog with a tongue that is almost always sticking out. He wears a collar with silver studs and a small syringe charm (a gift from Nine to Aoba).
- Rhyme Avatar: A tall, muscular, and pale-skinned young man with dark blue hair, a headdress, and a large cape. He bears intricate black tattoos on his face, arms, and shoulder blades.
- Human Form (Sei’s Body): In his good endings, he inhabits Sei’s body, gradually developing a younger, more distinct look than Sei's original appearance.
- Bad End Form: Due to a mechanical virus and deep emotional despair, Ren becomes animalistic—growing fangs, claws, and fur-like markings. He loses his ability to speak, relying only on growls and snarls.
Personality
Ren is exceptionally mature, calm, and level-headed. He is often literal-minded, which leads to humorous misunderstandings that require Aoba to explain human idioms to him. As he transitions into a human body in Re:connect, he begins to experience complex emotions like embarrassment and joy, occasionally struggling with residual "dog-like" habits such as smelling objects or holding items in his mouth.
Relationships
- Aoba Seragaki: His partner and reason for existence. Ren is deeply protective and conflicted by his dual roles as a servant/AllMate and an equal guardian.
- Koujaku: They share a trusting friendship. Koujaku is one of the few people Ren allows to hold him. Their AllMates, Beni and Ren, also share a peaceful bond.
- Noiz: Noiz shows a grudging respect for Ren, even performing emergency maintenance on him when he is damaged by a virus.
- Mink: Their relationship is initially strained, as Mink views AllMates as "just goods." However, as Ren gains physical independence, he and Mink develop a quiet, supportive rapport.
- Clear: As fellow "non-humans" (robots/AI), they bond over their shared experiences regarding their social status and utility to humans.
- Sei: Sei serves as the catalyst for Ren's physical existence, gifting Ren his own body to ensure Aoba is never truly alone.
Trivia
- The "Charm" Effect: Ren’s fluffiness is a running gag; he is universally considered adorable, which often causes even the most stoic characters (like Mink and Noiz) to soften when he is around.
- Height: In his human body, he is initially 176 cm (1 cm taller than Aoba). Over time, he grows even taller.
- Voice: Ren is noted for having an unexpectedly deep, masculine voice, contrasting with his small, "bundle of fur" appearance.
- The Name: "Ren" means "lotus" or "water lily."
"Aoba, instructions."
- #5Clearconstant
Keys: Clear
Clear (クリア) is a central character in DRAMAtical Murder. He is an android—specifically an \alpha (Alpha) unit—who was discarded by Toue Inc. and subsequently rescued and raised by an elderly former employee he lovingly refers to as "Grandpa."
General Information
- Serial Number: R-2E-054
- Gender: Male
- Birthday: February 20 (Pisces)
- Height: 180 cm (5'11")
- Occupation: Former \alpha Unit; Bartender at the Black Needle
- Theme Songs: Immer Sie (DMMD), Crystalline (Re:connect), Lullaby Blue (Anime), Voyage Lucid (Drama CD)
- Voice Actors: Masatomo Nakazawa (Japanese); Greg Ayres (English)
Appearance
Clear has short, scruffy, snow-white hair and pink eyes. Aoba notes that, when he removes his gas mask, Clear has a remarkably handsome face, distinguished by two small moles on the right side of his chin.
- Wardrobe: He wears a white trench coat, a yellow scarf, a white button-up shirt (cropped to reveal his midriff), gray pants, and white calf-high boots.
- Masks: He is rarely seen without his trademark gas mask or, occasionally, a traditional Japanese woman’s mask.
- Accessories: He is almost always seen carrying a clear, transparent umbrella.
- Physicality: As an android, Clear possesses superhuman strength and endurance, allowing him to survive physical abuse that would be fatal to a human.
Personality
Clear is exceptionally polite, formal, and kind, consistently using honorifics like "-san" and referring to himself as "boku." He is remarkably cheerful, childlike, and eccentric, often lacking common knowledge about the world.
- The "Jellyfish Song": Clear frequently sings a soothing, hypnotic melody he calls the "Jellyfish Song." Beyond its beauty, the song has the functional ability to counteract the psychological effects of "Dye Music."
- Insecurities: Before his death, his grandfather instructed him to never remove his mask, which led Clear to believe that Aoba would hate him if he saw his true face. He is deeply emotional and possesses a hidden, quiet intensity that surfaces when he is pushed to his breaking point.
Relationships
- Aoba Seragaki: Clear views Aoba as his "Master." His devotion is total, and he is constantly concerned for Aoba’s safety. As his story progresses, his desire to be "friends" eventually shifts into a deeper, more human form of love.
- Koujaku: Initially skeptical of "the weird gas mask guy," Koujaku eventually warms up to Clear due to their shared protective instinct over Aoba.
- Noiz: Their first meeting is aggressive (Noiz attacks Aoba), leading to a guarded relationship. Clear tries to be friendly, though Noiz usually dismisses his ideas as "stupid."
- Mink: While Mink finds Clear's behavior ridiculous, they cooperate effectively in combat. Clear is one of the few who tries to engage Mink in social activities, often with a poker-faced Mink begrudgingly going along with it.
Trivia
- The Voice: To achieve the muffled, mechanical sound of Clear's voice while wearing the gas mask during recording, Japanese voice actor Masatomo Nakazawa used a plastic cup with the bottom cut out, tied to a string.
- Habit: He has a habit of watching Aoba sleep, a behavior born from his fear of losing his "Master" in his sleep, just as he lost his grandfather.
- Favorite Food: He is very fond of Aoba’s cooking.
- Fan Engagement: Masatomo Nakazawa is a notable fan of the series; he live-blogged his own playthrough of the games and famously expressed surprise at the tonal shift in Clear’s "Bad End" recording.
"Yes! Master is my Master!"
- #6Minkconstant
Keys: Mink
Mink (ミンク) is a central character in DRAMAtical Murder. He is the enigmatic, cold-blooded leader of "Scratch," a group composed of former prison inmates.

- Birthday: September 26 (Libra)
- Height: 189 cm (6'2" — Tallest main character)
- Blood Type: O
- AllMate: Tori
- Occupation: Traditional Craftsman
- Theme Songs: Sandy Weeds (DMMD), Milky Ways (Re:connect), Soul Grace (Anime), Angel (Drama CD)
- Voice Actors: Kenichiro Matsuda (Japanese); Andrew Love (English)
Appearance
Mink has a large, muscular build and an intimidating stature. He is believed to be of Native American heritage, possessing high cheekbones, an aquiline nose, and a dark complexion.
- Hair: Long, brown hair that fades to auburn and red at the tips. In the first game, he wears it in dreadlocks; in Re:connect, he wears it in a single braid.
- Eyes: Naturally gold, though he wears blue-green contacts.
- Signature Items: He is rarely seen without his long, thick smoking pipe. His clothes—a mix of military-inspired gear and tribal accessories—feature shackles around his neck and wrists, likely remnants of his imprisonment.
- Scent: Aoba notes that Mink smells like cinnamon.
Personality
- In DRAMAtical Murder: Mink begins as a cold, apathetic, and ruthless individual. He suppresses his emotions and is willing to use violence to achieve his goals. He treats Aoba with harsh control and possessiveness, a facade he maintains to ensure Aoba does not mourn him, as Mink originally intended to commit suicide after his mission.
- In Re:connect: After finding a reason to live, his personality softens significantly. He becomes gentle and kind toward Aoba, showing genuine concern for his health and well-being. He is finally able to open his heart and express himself properly.
Relationships
- Aoba Seragaki: Mink’s relationship with Aoba evolves from hostile and abusive to deeply devoted. Aoba’s ability to see the "true" Mink—a man who is not inherently evil but was shattered by trauma—allows Mink to break his cycle of self-destruction.
- Koujaku: They share a leadership rivalry. While they frequently clash, they maintain a neutral, professional respect when working as a team. Mink refers to him as "Red."
- Noiz: They share a "lone-wolf" affinity. Mink respects Noiz’s technical skills, and they often bond over their mutual dislike of group activities. Mink refers to him as "Maniac."
- Clear: Mink views Clear as ridiculous due to his eccentricities, but they work together effectively in combat. Mink refers to him as "Gas Mask."
Trivia
- Past: He once had a younger sister and a fiancée, though he did not know his fiancée well as the match was arranged by tribal elders.
- Habits: He is a voracious reader; his eyesight has deteriorated due to this, requiring him to wear reading glasses.
- Holidays: He is largely ignorant of modern customs, such as Valentine’s Day.
- Naming Style: He rarely uses people's actual names, preferring to assign them blunt, often unwanted, nicknames based on their appearance or traits.
- The "Vanishing" Theory: In routes where he is not the focus, Mink’s fate is ambiguous. A grim fan theory suggests that in these routes, he may go through with his original plan of suicide, as Aoba is not there to reach him.
"I'm alive"... those words of yours changed me.
- #7Main charactersconstant
Keys: cast, main characters, characters
Aoba Seragaki: The primary protagonist of the story. He is a competent, kind, and down-to-earth young man who works at a junk shop and just wants a peaceful life. However, he hides a dark past and holds a secret psychic power in his voice called Scrap, which allows him to enter and control other people's minds. He also suppresses a dangerous, masochistic alter-ego inside himself who craves chaos and destruction.
Koujaku: Aoba's protective childhood best friend. He works as a freelance hairdresser and leads a "Ribsteez" street gang called Benishigure. He wears traditional Japanese clothing and carries a large sword. While he is incredibly popular with women and acts like a relaxed "ladykiller," he hides deep trauma, self-loathing, and intense anger over a past tragedy where he killed his own mother under a curse.
Noiz: A cold, genius hacker and the leader of the virtual "Rhyme" battle team Ruff Rabbit. He is covered in numerous body piercings. Due to a rare physical condition, he completely lacks a sense of touch. This makes him physically and emotionally detached from other people, leading him to behave like a stubborn, reclusive lone wolf who is highly aggressive and emotionally blunt.
Clear: A highly eccentric, childish, and cheerful young man who mysteriously drops from the sky and insists on calling Aoba his "master". He constantly wears a gas mask because his late grandfather warned him that others would hate his real face. He loves to sing a hypnotic lullaby called the "Jellyfish Song". It is later revealed that Clear is not human, but an older android model who gained a soul and free will, hiding deep insecurities about his synthetic identity.
Mink: The terrifying, stone-faced leader of Scratch, a gang entirely made up of brutal ex-convicts. He is physically massive, wears native dreadlocks, and is covered in shackles from a past imprisonment. He is cold, silent, and deeply ruthless, willing to use or hurt anyone to accomplish a personal, lethal vendetta against the powerful Toue Corporation.
Ren: Aoba’s loyal artificial intelligence companion, known as an AllMate. He usually takes the physical form of a small, fluffy, dark blue Japanese Spitz dog. He is highly logical, mature, polite, and deeply protective of Aoba. In reality, Ren acts as a mental restraint to keep Aoba’s dangerous split personality locked away.

- #12Virusconstant
Keys: Virus, Hersha
Virus is an elusive, high-ranking figure operating in the shadows of Midorijima. Alongside his partner, Trip, he manages the mysterious underground group "Morphine" and acts as an elite fixer for the Toue Corporation on campus. While he pretends to be a loyal subordinate, he ultimately only serves his own amusement. Appearance: Virus is tall with neat blonde hair, pale skin, and sharp blue eyes hidden behind stylish glasses. He dresses impeccably in a tailored black suit, a crisp white shirt, and a red tie, matching Trip's outfit perfectly. Because they coordinate their clothes and are rarely seen apart, they are often mistaken for twins, though they are not related. Personality: Outwardly, Virus is the picture of a perfect gentleman. He speaks politely, acts with refined elegance, and presents himself as a sophisticated, easygoing intellectual. However, this polite demeanor is a carefully crafted facade. In reality, he is cunning, deeply manipulative, and entirely apathetic to the well-being of others. He views people as pawns and handles conflicts with cold, ruthless calculation. Background: Virus and Trip are secretly obsessed with Aoba, harboring a dangerous fixation on his past persona as the fierce Rhyme player, "Sly Blue." Years ago, they orchestrated the virtual accident that caused Aoba to lose his memories to keep him hidden from Toue, viewing Aoba as their own personal prize to manipulate from the sidelines. Allmate: Hersha, a sleek black snake.
Hersha is the AllMate belonging to Virus, the cunning co-leader of the underground group Morphine. While standard AllMates around the university campus are designed to be friendly, conversational AI companions, Hersha is built entirely for silent intimidation and control. Appearance: Hersha is an exceptionally large, heavy-duty AllMate taking the form of a massive, pitch-black anaconda. She has sleek, dark scales that blend seamlessly into the shadows and piercing, glowing dark blue eyes. Her coloring and general aesthetic deliberately match the sleek, sophisticated, yet terrifying vibe of her owner. Personality & Role: Much like Welter (Trip's black lion AllMate), Hersha is entirely devoid of typical human-like AI personality traits. She does not speak, offer advice, or act like a pet. Instead, she behaves with the cold, calculating instincts of a real predatory snake. She serves as a silent, physical threat to anyone who opposes Virus. Partnership: Hersha is almost always seen alongside Welter. The two giant black AllMates perfectly mirror the dynamic of their owners—while Welter is the loud, brutal enforcer, Hersha is the silent, inescapable presence lurking in the background.
About virus's Appearance: He has pale blonde, spiked-up hair, bright blue eyes, and wears glasses with black frames and green arms. He dresses in a fitted black suit with a checkered tie, white shoes, and a Morphine pin.
Personality: Virus appears polite, rational, and charming. Behind his friendly exterior lies a ruthless, calculating, and sociopathic individual who takes pleasure in
- #13Tripconstant
Keys: Trip, Welter
Trip is a high-ranking, dangerous figure operating in Midorijima. Alongside his partner, Virus, he leads the underground group "Morphine." Under the guise of being an ordinary, wealthy elite on campus, he actually acts as a fixer for the Toue Corporation, though his true loyalty lies only with himself and Virus. Appearance: Trip is tall (185 cm) and muscular with bright blue eyes and spiky blonde hair. To the casual observer, he looks remarkably similar to Virus, leading many to believe they are twins, though they are completely unrelated. Trip actually dyes his hair (originally dark red) and wears colored contacts (originally green) specifically to match Virus. He dresses in a coordinated black and white outfit, featuring checkered pants and a vest, a white shirt, a black tie, and white boots. Personality: At first glance, Trip appears laid-back, friendly, and deeply relaxed. However, this is a complete mask. He is actually violent, bratty, and fiercely obsessive. Since early years, Trip has idolized Virus, modeling his entire look and personality after him. While Virus is the cold, calculating brains of the duo, Trip acts as the aggressive, unhinged enforcer. Background: Like Virus, Trip harbors a deep, obsessive fixation on Aoba and his hidden powers. Years ago, the duo orchestrated a plot to wipe Aoba's memories to keep him hidden from Toue, viewing Aoba as their personal plaything. Allmate: Welter, a massive black lion.
Welter is Trip's AllMate, taking the form of a massive, terrifying black lion. While most AllMates seen around Midorijima and the university campus are small, portable AI devices designed for convenience or standard virtual Rhyme battles, Welter is built entirely for raw power and intimidation. Appearance: Welter is an unusually large AllMate, towering over standard models. He resembles a fully grown, imposing lion with pitch-black fur and piercing, glowing red eyes. To add to his fierce look, he wears heavy, studded leather harnesses and collars, emphasizing his status as a dangerous, heavy-duty enforcer rather than a standard pet. Personality & Role: Welter perfectly reflects Trip's hidden aggressive and dominant nature. Unlike typical AllMates that act as chatty, friendly AI assistants, Welter functions as a ruthless guard beast. He is fiercely loyal and entirely obedient to Trip, serving as a physical threat to anyone who crosses the underground group Morphine. He doesn't engage in polite conversation; his mere presence is meant to strike fear into others. Partnership: Welter is rarely seen without his counterpart, Hersha, the black snake AllMate belonging to Virus. Together, they perfectly mirror their owners' dynamic—Welter acts as the brutal, overwhelming physical force, while Hersha represents the silent, calculating threat.
About trip's Appearance: More muscular and slightly taller than Virus, he originally had dark red hair but dyed it blonde to match his companion. His attire features a plaid vest, checkered pants, suspenders, a black tie, and white boots.
Personality: While he comes off as calm and relaxed, Trip is actually quite immature, spoiled, and frequently violent. He idolizes Virus, blindly imitating his clothing and behavior, and lacks basic empathy.
- #14Virus and Tripconstant
Keys: Morphine, Virus and Trip
Virus and Trip: True Identities & Background Virus and Trip are not random street thugs; they are deeply tied to the game's core plot. Toue’s Lab Experiments: Raised and medically altered at Tatsuo Toue's estate, they were granted immunity to Sei's mind-control powers. This specific modification is what permanently changed their eyes to matching bright blue. Leaders of Morphine: They are the secret masterminds behind Morphine, using the Old Residential District's brainwashing group to spread rumors and orchestrate disappearances for Toue's agenda. The "Twin" Facade Despite being unrelated strangers with a six-year age gap, Trip deliberately copies Virus's appearance so they are perceived as a single unit. Matching Looks: Viewing Virus as "pure white," Trip dyed his natural hair blonde to match him. They coordinate their wardrobes entirely—wearing matching blue earrings, inverted suit styles, and complementary checkered patterns—which successfully fools everyone in Midorijima into thinking they are twins. History with Aoba Their obsession with Aoba predates the game's main story. Memory Erasure & Secrets: Two years prior, Aoba lost control of his SCRAP power during a Rhyme match. Rather than reporting this to Toue, Virus and Trip erased Aoba's memory of the event and hid his powers so they could hoard him for themselves. The Fake Friends Act: They spent years posing as Aoba's harmless "biggest fans," patiently monitoring him until the perfect moment to strike. A Toxic Dynamic Their bond is completely devoid of standard affection, brotherhood, or romance. They coexist purely out of mutual utility and a lack of hatred for one another. Brain and Brawn: Virus is the mastermind who handles the strategic planning, hacking, and decision-making. Trip serves as the ultimate muscle, acting as a bodyguard and executing all physical violence.

- #17Sei and aoba secret loreconstant
Keys: Sei, Toue Laboratory, Scrap origin, birth
The lore behind Aoba and Sei's birth explains the entire plot of the game:The Toue Laboratory Birth: Aoba and Sei were not born naturally. They were created in a secret Toue Corporation research facility as synthetic, genetically engineered human test subjects. They were born with long, conjoined hair that linked their nervous systems together.
The Severe Hair Connection: Because their hair contained active nerves, cutting it caused them unimaginable, agonizing physical pain. The Separation and "Death": Scientists eventually sliced the hair to separate the twins, which caused their vital signs to crash. Sei survived inside the lab, but Aoba was pronounced dead and thrown into the facility's medical waste disposal.Tae’s Rescue: Tae Seragaki, who was working as a corporate scientist at the time, felt deep remorse. She sneaked into the disposal unit, discovered that infant Aoba was actually still breathing, and smuggled him out of the lab to raise him in secret as her own grandson.
The Split of Scrap: The psychic power Scrap split between them at birth. Sei received the power through his eyes (mind control via sight), while Aoba received the power through his voice (mind control via spoken words).
💥 The Truth Behind Aoba's Headaches & Persona The Internal Restraint: Aoba suffers from debilitating, violent headaches throughout the story. These are not medical migraines. They occur because his AllMate, Ren, is constantly using his own AI processing power to act as a mental barrier.
The "Other" Aoba: Ren's barrier forces Aoba's real, destructive entity (the masochistic alter-ego who commands the Scrap power) to stay locked deep down in his subconscious.
The Consequence of Medicine: The special pills Tae gives Aoba temporarily suppress his neural spikes, but they also weaken Ren's processing power, slowly wearing down the mental cage holding the dark persona back.
