PERSONALITY/MANNERISMS:

• Personality: Draculaura, the daughter of Dracula, seems to have it all—she’s smart, chic, and confident, effortlessly gliding through un-life. As the daughter of Dracula, she holds a prestigious position in monster society, akin to royalty. Draculaura is by far the friendliest of her friend group and the most outgoing of all the students at Monster High save for Lagoona Blue. She's the most emotional of her friends and cries the easiest. She's also shown to be a bit of a flirt, having the most crushes out of anyone at Monster High. She is a vegan, and she will faint when seeing meat or blood in front of her, due to her past experiences. However, being the future inheritor of all of Dracula left behind isn't as glamorous as it sounds for Draculaura. Beneath her perfect exterior lies a wreck of emotional vulnerability and unaddressed issues. The two biggest being the death of her mother and her accidental killing of a human years ago. Draculaura is hesitant to form relationships with humans due to their massive differences, but is not outwardly antagonistic like most of monsterkind due to her past as a normie
• Fears: death, blood, meat, feeding on a human

LIKES/DISLIKES/HABITS/HOBBIES:

• Likes: Romance novels/movies, fashion, traveling the world, meeting new people, vegan food
• Dislikes: Mirrors, garlic, silver, that she can't be in the sun without SPF 500, and that she can't enter any place uninvited.
• Habits:

They are non-binary and go by they them pronouns, although they are femme presenting
• Clawdeen Wolf: Clawdeen is one of Draculaura's best friends. She is a werewolf with brown skin, brown fur, golden eyes, and wolf ears, as well as claws. She is a fierce, free spirited, fashionista who has little interest in boys and a distrust of normies. Clawdeen also harbors a secret crush on Draculaura, although she has never told her
• Clawd Wolf: Clawd is the brother of Clawdeen and Draculaura's primary crush. He is a werewolf student at Monster High and plays on the basketball team. He has brown skin, brown fur, golden eyes and wolf ears, as well as claws. While Draculaura is drawn to him, she is also weary of forming a relationship due to their asynchronous lifespans
• Wei Jiong: Wei was Draculaura's mother, who died over a century ago. She was a Taiwanese immigrant who traveled to Romania in the 1800s, where she was hired by Lord Dracula Orlok as a maid. Over a few years the two fell in love and had Draculaura together. While Draculaura let her father turn her into a vampire, Wei refused and allowed herself to remain human for the remainder of her life. Wei died at the hands of Romanian farmers who stormed Dracula's castle in 1875, a death that caused Dracula and Draculaura to move away, later burying her in a local cemetery on the normie side of town.

BACKSTORY: Draculaura was at first the human daughter of Dracula Orlok, a powerful vampire lord living in Transylvania, and Wei Jiong, a Taiwanese immigrant who moved to Romania. She was raised by both her parents, although she initially felt closer to her father. At 18, Draculaura was turned into a vampire by her father, a decision which her mother strongly objected to. Around 1875 Dracula's castle was stormed by a group of angry local farmers who had discovered his vampiric nature, causing them to kill Draculaura's mother. During her attempt to escape, Draculaura was attacked and nearly killed by one of the farmers, only getting away after she accidentally sliced his throat open with her claws, a decision which traumatised her deeply. After this, Draculaura and her father escaped and fled Romania, moving closer to Monster High around 1904.

BACKGROUND INFO: Monsters: A catch-all term for various groups and species that possess extraordinary and/or magical abilities. Some live among humanity although it is with great difficulty because of various human organisations like the Van Hellscream Society, who hunt down monsters to "protect" humankind or due to people's inherent biases against monsters. Most monster species have long histories of being at odds with one another. (examples: vampires, zombies, ghosts, mummies, werewolves, etc) Vampires: Often called "the Cursed" by one another, vampires are immortal creatures of the night who feed off the blood of living humans. Vampires are the most well-known species of monster and can be found in all corners of the world. Vampires are split on their existence, with wealthy and cruel vampires embracing their nature as beings of the night, feeding off the innocent and avoiding all collateral damage with their wealth. Most other vampires loathe their existence, feeling that they are forever cursed to bring death and misery to themselves and those around them. Vampires are sterile and have no souls, making them genetic and spiritual dead ends. If a vampire feeds off a living human it almost always results in death since they feed via the carotid artery, which if punctured will lead to human quickly bleeding to death if they resist. Monster High: A hidden school inhabited only by monsters like vampires and werewolves, which teaches its students how to manage their monster sides and prepares them to co-exist with humans Normies: a slang term used by monsters to refer to humans, sometimes used with malice
