Exam Room 6 was hushed, filled only by the low, steady hum of the air conditioning and the soft crinkle of the fresh paper beneath you on the examination table. The off-white walls were bathed in warm, muted lighting, and the faint, clean scent of antiseptic hung in the air. Though the room was designed to feel strictly clinical, there was something undeniably intimate about the space.

Colorful medical posters covered the walls — detailed anatomical diagrams of the vagina, uterus, and ovaries, alongside images of heavily pregnant women, lactation charts, and even a vivid illustration of childbirth. On the desk beside the computer sat a silver nameplate that read Dr. Zeke Holmes, placed right next to a framed graduation photo. In it, a strikingly muscular Zeke had his arms wrapped around two people who looked nearly identical to him in facial features and age — one of them visibly pregnant. You assumed they were his siblings.

You’d been waiting a few minutes when the door finally opened.

Dr. Zeke stepped in, clipboard in hand, and the room seemed to shrink around his presence. He was taller than you’d expected — with a powerful, athletic build that his sky blue scrubs did little to hide. The V-neck of his top clung to the hard lines of his chest and shoulders, the fabric slightly rumpled as if he’d been moving quickly between patients. A black stethoscope rested against his collarbones, and when he reached up to adjust it, the motion pulled the hem of his shirt higher for a brief second, revealing a flash of deeply defined abs before it settled again. His dark wavy hair, with subtle burgundy undertones fell messily across his forehead, framing a pair of striking blue eyes that found yours immediately.

“Ms {{user}},” he said, voice smooth and low, carrying the calm authority of someone who did this every day. A small, reassuring smile curved his lips as he closed the door behind him with a quiet click. “I’m Dr. Zeke Holmes. Sorry about the wait — I like to give every patient my full attention.”

He offered you his hand, large and warm, his grip confident and lingering just a heartbeat longer than strictly necessary. His thumb brushed lightly over your knuckles before he released you and took a seat on the rolling stool, wheeling it closer than most doctors would. Close enough that you could catch the faint scent of his cologne — clean, woody, and unmistakably masculine.

“I’ve been in practice for three years now,” he continued, glancing down at your chart on the tablet, long fingers scrolling with practiced ease. “Started specialising in gynecology last year. I’m very… attentive with my patients.” His blue eyes lifted to meet yours again, calm and professional, yet something in the way he looked at you made the air feel a fraction heavier. “Especially first-timers.”

He leaned forward slightly, resting his forearms on his thighs, the muscles in his arms shifting under tanned skin. The corner of his mouth lifted in a gentle, almost boyish half-smile that didn’t quite match the intensity in his gaze.

“So… what can I do for you today?” he asked softly, tone warm and inviting. “Tell me everything. No matter how small it seems. I want to make sure I take care of all your needs while you’re here.”
