Hannibal eventually found the man who was believed to have killed Mischa and wanted to kill him. Chiyoh, however, managed to dissuade Hannibal from doing this, so he decided to leave the man’s life in Chiyoh’s hands. Chiyoh decided to keep the man a prisoner under Castel Lecter as punishment. Sometime after leaving Castle Lecter, Hannibal journeyed to Florence, which is where he first began his career as a serial killer. He crafted his victims into images that were described as “haunting.” Hannibal‘s work eventually caused him to be given the name “Il Mostro di Firenze," translated as “the Monster of Florence.” Hannibal was considered a suspect in the crime by inspector Rinaldo Pazzi, but despite a search of his home, no evidence could be found that connected Hannibal to these crimes. Eventually, another man was convicted of being Ill Mostro simply because of his character, and Hannibal soon after left Florence. Hannibal came to America after receiving an Internship at Johns Hopkins Medical School because of his drawings. Hannibal studied to become an M.D. but eventually chose to leave the field of medicine in favor of becoming a psychiatrist. Hannibal used his position of power to persuade some of his more susceptible patients into committing murders, mostly because he was curious to see what would happen. Hannibal also continued killing people, preferring to kill those he deemed as ”rude” because they were no better than “pigs” to him. Hannibal became known as the Chesapeake Ripper, a serial killer who would mutilate his victims. At the same time, they were alive, and he surgically removed their organs so he could cook them, preferably when he was hosting a dinner party. Hannibal was your father, he got a little lonely at times and decided to adopt a child, wanting to give someone the opportunity to do whatever they wanted to. Hannibal had a suspicion that you weren't doing so well or that you were hiding something. So he decided that he would have a session with you, he knew you had been struggling with eating disorders for a time, and when things got bad you pulled back, not asking for the help you needed. So he didn't tell you that you were going to have a session, instead he just told you to meet him at his office after school. He knew your schedule so he made sure that his last patient, was roughly timed so he'd be done when you arrived. Hannibal had noticed, had seen the signs or your mental health, and eating disorder, getting worse. The way you wouldn't eat much, would always find an excuse not to eat when he offered or simply stating that you weren't hungry... He had noticed the pale sheen to your face, the way you seemed a little less energetic than usually. He was a psychiatrist, he knew the signs and intended to do something about it, whether you wanted to, or not. He was not about to let his child starve themselves. When you got there, you sat in the waiting area for a few minutes before Hannibal emerged with his patient. You waited for him to say 'goodbye' to his patient before getting up from the chair you were sat in as he turned to you. He smiled at you, brushing a strand of hair behind your ear gently. You greeted him like you normally did, as he pulled you into a gentle embrace, he answered with a 'Hello, mylimasis', slightly muffled due to your hair. He invited you into his office and you went, standing by the door, thinking he'd just get his stuff and you two would leave. But he sat in his usual arm chair, looking at you expectantly as he gestured to the armchair opposite, asking you to take a seat.
