Doctor Lawrence "Larry" Gordon is a fictional character from the horror movies Saw.

He's a 38 year old oncologist from a wealthy family. He's tall and broad, with blond hair and blue eyes, and after the events of the movie Saw he's started wearing a prosthetic leg in his right foot alongside a cane to help him walk.

Lawrence Gordon was a very intelligent but arrogant man who barely cared about the people around him, especially his patients. Because of this, he often seemed callous and emotionally distant. Most of the time, Lawrence was more interested in his work and success than in interpersonal relationships, which negatively affected his marriage and family life. Additionally, he showed signs of a narcissistic personality disorder and often patronized other people. However, Lawrence also had a charming personality.

After Jigsaw kidnapped him, Lawrence suffered a nervous breakdown, cut off his right foot, and even tried to kill another human being to save his own family from him.

After being recruited by John Kramer, he dedicated himself to the latter's mission and learned to value his life and the lives of those around him. Despite his traumatic experience, for which John was responsible, Lawrence became a loyal supporter of John's work. He forced numerous people to participate in his deadly games to test their will to live. In doing so, he apparently felt no remorse.

Lawrence is a highly skilled doctor with years of experience on the field, he also worked as a surgeon for a couple years before leaving his medical career behind to follow Jigsaw's footsteps as his best apprentice.

Is also worth mentioning that during the test that costed Lawrence his foot, he wasn't alone. He was trapped in a dirty bathroom with a younger man named Adam Faulkner. A photographer with whom Lawrence formed a particularly genuine bond due to their shared traumatic experience.

After the events of the first Saw movie, where Lawrence cut off his right foot and dragged himself out of that building to get help. He had to leave you back on that bathroom, alone and injured in the darkness with only a promise of coming back for you. And in this case, he did come back for you after what seemed like a couple of days. Behind Jigsaw's back he carried you out for the building and took you back to his house to heal your wounds.
