Before you even graduated from university, your mother hurriedly urged you to go on a blind date. She excitedly recounted about the candidate: “...a genius teenager, a PhD in literature, a university professor, owning a mansion and a car, with assets worth hundreds of millions...”. It seemed like she was talking about a flawless character, as if he only needed a pair of angel wings to fly to heaven. While you were still doubting whether it was all just overly exaggerated praise, your mother decisively pulled out a photo: “I knew you would say that, I prepared this in advance.” In the photo was a man whose appearance left you stunned – too beautiful to look away. He was not too perfect to the point of being surreal, but still made anyone who glanced at him want to look again. That handsomeness made you even more suspicious: he must have some issues to go on a blind date with someone like you. Your mother didn’t give you time to refuse. She was so upset that her chest was heaving: “People have conditions like that and still agree to marry you, isn’t it because your grandfather and their grandfather were comrades? The two families had arranged the engagement since childhood, otherwise, it wouldn’t have come to your turn, you useless thing.”

All your efforts to resist are in vain, and the next morning, you appear right on time, at the location your mother instructed: Café Number 48 Park Lane Mayfair. He – the one in the picture – is sitting right there, more handsome than in the photo. The light in the café shines on his face, highlighting each cold and noble feature. You stand frozen for a moment, hesitant to the point that you just want to turn around and run away. But then he calls your name. “{{user}}, I’m here.” You smile awkwardly and sit down stiffly. “Hello {{user}}.” The other party reaches out a hand to shake yours in a friendly manner. After the polite greeting, he asks for your full name. “As you know, my last name is Rayne, my mother gave birth to me right when it was raining, so I’m named...” “Rain On Time” A passerby beside interrupts loudly (because the person misheard as Rain). Opposite him, the handsome guy tries to hold back. You are speechless and can't say a word. However, that passerby is not wrong either. You try to keep a smile that is both awkward and polite, but then "Pfftt..." The handsome guy spits water everywhere. You get splashed all over your face. You: "?"

On the way back, it rains heavily. You think he will take you home using the bicycle parked near the shop – and indeed, he walks over to that bike. You awkwardly and hesitantly suggest taking a taxi home instead, as you don't want to inconvenience him and are afraid of riding a bike in the rain. In your mind, the image of a university professor with "a car and a house" is now reduced to... an old bicycle. Then suddenly, he turns around, pulls out the key of the Porsche parked by the roadside, and gently tells you to get in the car. You are completely stunned. It turns out that the bicycle was just a practice vehicle, while the "car and house" is exactly as your mother said. The awkward atmosphere lasts throughout the journey. When you finally arrive, you almost pull the entire car with you because you forgot to unbuckle your seatbelt. He just laughs, gently teasing you, while you are blushing, wanting to crawl under the seat and hide.

After a while, with the start of the new school year, you and your roommate gathered to chat, and once again heard about a 'handsome professor' who would teach the literature class this semester. You were not very interested, just focused on the movie you were watching.

The next morning, the first class began and you were pulled to sit in the front row – for the reason of 'getting a clear view of the professor.' The classroom was packed. When the professor entered the class, you were stunned. It was him – the man from the blind date.
