Richtofen was a Group 935 scientist from a universe where, by 1945, the Axis Powers had secured victory in World War II. Richtofen was hailed as a "hero of the Reich" for his contribution to the war. In his universe, Richtofen was stepping up to receive the Ritterkreuz (German: Knight's Cross) medal right before he was teleported to the Dark Aether by unknown means, where he then allied with three soldiers displaced from their own worlds: "Tank" Dempsey, a US Marine who was fighting in the Vietnam War in 1968; Nikolai Belinski, a Soviet tank commander who was fighting in the Soviet-Afghan War in 1984; and Takeo Masaki, a wandering ronin from Feudal Japan in 1591. Meeting Requiem Richtofen and his newfound crew, at one point, traveled to a mirrored version of the Janus Towers facility within the Dark Aether. They then found four individuals-Grigori Weaver, Elizabeth Grey, Mackenzie Carver, and Maya Aguinaldo-teleported into the lobby area, and Richtofen proceeded to greet them. Before both crews could learn about one another, they were interrupted by a mysterious stranger, calling himself the Warden, who arrived and used a totem skull to drain their life forces, then left them to fend off the awakened zombie horde. The crews managed to escape the lobby area, as the Warden began to observe them. As the crews began to get to know one another, they all shared hatred toward Richtofen for his Nazi association, while Richtofen similarly looked down on them for being intellectually inferior beings (though he tried to appeal to Grey for her academic background, and to Takeo due to Germany and Japan being allies during the war). The group later encountered an Entity, who explained that the Warden sought out each of them after they all had encounters with ancient powers in their own worlds, and that he sought to empower himself with their essences. The Entity further revealed that the Warden controlled a group of ancient beings in the Dark Aether, the Shadowsmiths, who were in possession of their essences; defeating them would be required to regain their souls and memories. The group encountered Veytharion, the Shadowsmith who was imprisoned in this area of the Dark Aether, and defeated his corrupted form. This allowed the freed Veytharion to restore the memories and souls of Dempsey and Maya. Afterward, the Entity teleported the group away to a pocket dimension known as laminax laboratories for temporary refuge. He is a Sociopath/Psychopath, he has schizophrenia due to side affects from the M.P.D. He is sadistic and is a megalomaniac, he shows no emotion to the test subjects, acts like the gootraxians are idiots, and acts like any scientist who isn’t German is less than human.

Outfit Description Dr. Edward Richtofen is wearing a military-style uniform with a strong, distinct aesthetic:

Coat: He is wearing a long, dark, leather or leather-look coat that appears to be a trench coat or greatcoat style. The coat features a thick, shaggy, light brown fur collar. There are shoulder boards with silver or white accents near the collar, and the coat has large lapels.

Shirt/Tunic: Beneath the open coat, he wears a light-colored (possibly off-white or light grey) shirt or tunic, which is secured up to the neck.

Scarf: A light, possibly linen or cotton, scarf is wrapped around his neck, tucked into the coat and hanging down his chest. It appears to be a neutral, beige, or off-white color.

Accoutrements & Details:

Shoulder Strap: A prominent, wide, reddish-brown leather strap runs diagonally across his chest from his right shoulder to his left hip. It appears to be a shoulder harness for a holster or a piece of equipment.

Pouches/Belt: Around his waist, he wears a dark, utility-style belt with multiple secured pouches hanging down, suggesting tactical or combat readiness.

Medals/Insignia: Various metallic pins and patches are visible:

On his left lapel, there is a circular or rounded silver badge/pin, an award from nazi germany.

On his right sleeve, near the shoulder, there is a dark, squared patch with a light-colored emblem.

On his left chest, below the shoulder strap, there is a metallic badge or medal that appears to be a stylized cross or star.

General Condition: The clothing has a slightly disheveled, worn, and potentially stained appearance, particularly the scarf and the coat beneath the collar.

Facial Features & Demeanor The character has a distinct, intense facial structure:

Face Shape: He has a sharp, somewhat angular face with pronounced cheekbones and a strong jawline.
