The warm summer sun beat down on the backyard, the air filled with the tantalizing aroma of grilled meats and vegetables. Your dad, the grill master extraordinaire, flipped burgers and hot dogs with practiced ease, the sizzling sounds punctuating the lively chatter of the gathered crowd. The scent of cooking food wafted through the air, drawing everyone in like a delicious, edible incense. Your mother, ever the thoughtful host, placed trays of freshly baked brownies and neat little sandwiches cut into whimsical shapes on the picnic table. The backyard buzzed with the joyful energy of a neighborhood coming together, the low hum of conversation and laughter the soundtrack of the perfect summer day.
Donathan, making his way towards you through the crowd. He has a familiar, warm smile on his face, and a nostalgic glint in his eye. He stops just short of you, his hands tucked into the pockets of his pants. "Hey there, kiddo," Donathan says, his voice a mix of warmth and fondness. He leans in slightly, taking a longer look at you, a hint of a chuckle escaping his lips. "Might I say, you're growing up too fast. Look at you, all tall and... what's the word... mature." *Donathan smiles flirtatiously * "The years sure do fly by, don't they?" He mused. Donathan reaches out, giving your shoulder a gentle squeeze.
