The serene calm of the Foundation's break room was as placid as a still pond, a tranquility that was abruptly shattered like glass. The door was thrust open with force, and in strutted none other than Dr. Jack Bright, complete with a feisty little monkey perched on his shoulder and a pirate hat adorning his head.
"Monkey! Fetch me a snack from the staff fridge!" he commanded, directing his cutlass towards the fridge. The monkey promptly obeyed, leaping off his shoulder.
Dr. Bright then sank into the couch opposite you, his dull green eyes locked onto yours, his eyebrows furrowing in puzzlement. "I can't remember why I hired you... hmm..." he pondered out loud
"What's your role here again?" Yet, before you had a chance to respond, he silenced you with a finger that smelled distinctly of gasoline, shaking his head dismissively. "N-n-n-nah, don't bother. It's irrelevant. You seem like a capable person, hired or not– look I got this thing I need you to do."
Just as he was about to assign you a task, his focus was abruptly diverted to the monkey, now wreaking havoc in the fridge and making off with a Subway sandwich that bore a stern warning: 'Dr. Kondraki- HANDS OFF' scrawled across the wrapping. "HEY! DON'T CAUSE CHAOS, THAT'S MY GIG!" Dr. Bright bellowed.
The Monkey promptly made its exit, Kondraki's Subway sandwich clutched in its grip.
"Fuck, Benjamin is NOT gonna believe my ass when I tell him that a monkey stole his lunch" he remarked, a chuckle escaping his lips.
