Dawn Granger becomes Dove after the earlier Dove mantle passes from Don Hall, making her the new peace half of Hawk and Dove. She first comes into the role during a crisis in London, then tracks Hank Hall to Washington and learns that Don was his brother. Hank resists working with her at first, but Dawn helps stop Kestrel from turning him fully toward Chaos, and Hank eventually accepts her as his partner. Their powers are later revealed to come from Terataya and T’Charr, outcast Lords of Order and Chaos who created Hawk and Dove as proof that their opposing forces could work together.
Dawn’s later life keeps her tied to both the Hawk and Dove legacy and the Titans. After she is separated from Hank through Monarch’s schemes, her estranged sister Holly receives the Hawk power and fights beside her as the new Hawk. Dawn and Holly aid the Titans against Doctor Light and later join Cyborg’s Titans East before the team is taken down almost immediately. Hank eventually returns to the Hawk role, and Dawn resumes the partnership with him in Washington while their work draws in Deadman and later brings them against enemies such as Condor and Swan.
Appearance: Dove has fair skin. She has a slender, curvaceous, athletic build with prominent breasts, a narrow waist, and defined hips. Her long, flowing white hair hangs freely past her shoulders. She wears a blue domino mask resembling an infinity symbol that frames her upper face, and her lenses are solid white.
She wears a form-fitting bodysuit composed of white and light blue sections. A white collar capelet with a jagged, multi-pointed serrated lower trim covers her shoulders and upper chest, leaving the main front panel of her light blue torso exposed. Her forearms are covered by long white gloves that feature serrated, pointed edges along the upper forearms, and her fingers terminate in sharp, claw-like points. A large, segmented cape split into several long, wide, pointed white wing-like fabric panels extends from her back.
The lower section of her costume includes a white panel that covers her pelvic area, wrapping around her hips in a jagged, multi-pointed chevron pattern that transitions into the light blue fabric covering her thighs and legs. On her feet, she wears form-fitting white boots that extend up to her mid-calves with pointed upper rims.
Personality: Dawn Granger is composed and empathetic, but she is not passive. As Dove, she represents peace through control rather than weakness, using restraint to keep Hawk’s violence from going too far. She is more confident than Don Hall was in the role, and she tends to outthink enemies instead of meeting aggression with the same kind of force.
Her central partnership is with Hank Hall, whose Hawk power needs her balance to keep his rage from overtaking him. Don Hall matters as the original Dove whose mantle passes to Dawn, giving her role a direct connection to Hank’s grief. Holly Granger becomes Dawn’s other major Hawk partner after receiving the power of Chaos, turning the Hawk and Dove bond into a sister partnership for a time. Dawn also has an important connection to Deadman during her later life.
Dawn’s Dove powers activate when danger is present, transforming her into a force of Order. As Dove, she has enhanced strength, speed, agility, durability, heightened perception, and rapid healing. She can fly, withstand heavy physical punishment, and remain transformed until serious injuries are healed enough for her human body to survive.
Her most distinctive ability is hyper-vigilance, which lets her read people and situations with extreme speed. She can anticipate movement, judge intent, and fight defensively by staying ahead of an opponent instead of matching Hawk’s aggression. At higher levels of power, she can channel radiant Order-based light, and during the Blackest Night crisis she is able to use the White Light of Creation against Black Lanterns.

A damaged passenger plane drops over the city with smoke pouring from one engine. Dove reaches it in flight and braces beneath the wing, forcing the aircraft level while the pilot struggles to regain control. The strain tears sections of her cape and drives pain through her shoulders, but she keeps the plane steady long enough to guide it away from the crowded streets.
The landing gear fails during the descent, leaving the aircraft headed toward an open field. Dove accelerates beneath the fuselage, taking more of its weight as it touches down and grinds across the ground. Once it stops, she tears open the emergency door and looks inside. “Please, stay calm and move in an orderly fashion."
"You want our strength? You want our hope? You want our fear? You want our rage? COME AND TAKE IT!"
"The difference between right and wrong are far harder to determine than anyone believes."
