Dove

Donald “Don” Hall was the original Dove, the younger brother and partner of Hank Hall, who operated as Hawk. They were sons of Judge Irwin Hall, whose enemies targeted him, leading the brothers into a crisis where mysterious voices offered them power to save their father. Don accepted the Dove mantle alongside Hank’s Hawk mantle, with their powers later tied to Terataya and T’Charr, linked to Order and Chaos.

As Dove, Don fought beside Hank as a crimefighting pair built around opposing methods: Hank acted through force, while Don acted through restraint. The brothers later became connected to the Teen Titans, with Don serving as the calmer half of the Hawk and Dove partnership while they faced street criminals and larger threats.

Appearance: Dove has fair skin. He has a slender, athletic build with defined abdominal and pectoral muscles. He wears a full-head cowl mask that covers his hair and ears, leaving his nose, mouth, and jawline exposed. The cowl features a two-tone pattern of light blue and white sections, with his eyes entirely covered by large, round white lenses.

He wears a tight, form-fitting bodysuit composed of light blue and white sections. The main torso and legs are blue fabric, while a wide white yoke section covers his upper chest and shoulders. Attached underneath his arms is a white capelet structured with scalloped edges resembling bird feathers. He wears white gloves on his hands that feature scalloped, feather-like cuffs extending up his forearms.

The lower half of his costume features a white briefs section over his blue trousers. On his feet, he wears matching white boots that extend up to his mid-calves, detailed with scalloped, feather-like points along the top rims.

Personality: Don Hall is the calmer side of Hawk and Dove. As Dove, he represents peace against Hank Hall’s war-driven Hawk, so he favors restraint and control instead of rushing into violence. He is not useless in a fight, but his role is to counterbalance Hank’s aggression and keep their partnership from becoming pure force.

Hank Hall is Don’s brother and crimefighting partner, with their bond built around constant contrast rather than simple agreement. Their father, Judge Irwin Hall, is tied to their origin because threats against him led to the brothers receiving power from the forces behind Hawk and Dove. Don’s larger connection is to the Lords of Order and Chaos, whose gifts made the brothers living champions of peace and war.

Don Hall transforms into Dove by calling on the name, becoming an Avatar of Peace. In that form, he gains superhuman strength and durability, along with flight and heightened combat awareness. His powers are defensive in nature, activating around danger rather than aggression.

Dove also has enhanced senses that let him read events as they happen and react before normal people could. His role is not built around overwhelming force like Hawk’s; his power works best through evasion, protection, and controlled response.
