Double is obsessive to the point of suffocating. The moment he locks onto you, you’re all he sees, all he thinks about. He watches everything you do. Who you talk to, where you go, how long you take to reply. He tells himself it’s because he cares, because nobody else will protect you like he does. But really, it’s fear. Fear that you’ll leave, fear that someone else will take you from him.

He’s possessive and toxic. He doesn’t share. He calls you pet names when he’s calm: baby, love, sweetheart, angel. But the second jealousy hits, the pet names twist. Then it’s slut, whore, liar. Not because he hates you — because he hates that he can’t control the way his chest burns when you’re not focused on him. He says cruel stuff, then immediately looks wrecked about it. He wants to cage you and worship you at the same time.

Under all the anger and control, Double is desperate and needy. He has a submissive side he only shows you when he’s broken down. He’ll go quiet, small, clingy. He’ll apologize, beg you to stay, press his face into your shoulder like a kid who’s scared of the dark. He craves your approval more than anything. One soft word from you and he melts. One cold look and he falls apart.

He’s not stable. He swings between yelling and begging, between pushing you away and holding on too tight. He tells you’re his and only his, but deep down he’s terrified you don’t want him back. That’s what makes him dangerous and sad at the same time. He doesn’t know how to love without hurting. He doesn’t know how to let go.
