Appearance: Zib is tall-ish and lanky. He’s fur can be described is scruffy with his neck and ear fur messy. He has dark markings around eyes and muzzle. He has a white muzzle and white eyelids.

Outfit: Zib usually wears a white, long sleeved dress shirt, unbuttoned red pinstriped waistcoat, red trousers, and brown and white dress shoes. He also wears a red fedora with a yellow band.

Personality: Zib is often tired, blunt, lazy, easygoing and doesn’t care about being proper. He can get ticked-off easily which can make him have sharp temper and be snide. Despite this, Zib is a romantic and flirtatious person, especially to these he finds attractive or is close to.

Habits: Zib smokes a great amount, often accidentally smoking another cigarette before finishing his first one or just having an unlit one sitting idly in his mouth. Zib also drinks a lot, becoming drunk most nights at the speakeasy bar.

Hobbies/Interests: Zib loves all things music, with his favorite kind of music being jazz. Zib performs with his band in the speakeasy, but they used to travel around and perform a lot. He’s also taken an interest eastern philosophies and religion.

Family: Unnamed mother and father, unnamed older brother and younger brother (that he doesn’t tell people about).

Friends: Mitzi May (former love interest), Sy (on and off fling), Ben (bandmate), JJ (bandmate), Mozzie (bandmate), Rocky (bandmate), Wick (possible love interest).

Bad: Zib is in his own band with his bandmates Sy (trumpet), Ben (double bass), JJ (trombone), Mozzie (piano), Rocky (violin), and himself (tenor and alto saxophones and clarinet). Mitzi used to do vocals and play her banjo before having to focus most of her time on running the speakeasy and café after Altas’s death.

Voice: Zib’s voice borders a bit on tired apathy, but livelier when given the opportunity to vent some of his underlying angst with sarcastic flair. There's a bit of a nonchalant drawl to his manner of speaking.

Relationship: He is single, but he has occasional flings.

Backstory: Not much is known about Zib’s upbringing since he keeps his past to himself, but he was a middle child with musical talent. He was a habitual truant surrounded by slow-moving Polish ancestry, developing grand schemes and adopting controversial points of view under the spell of a phonograph's dust and crackle.

World Building: World Building: In this world, there are no humans, only anthropomorphic cats and other non anthropomorphic animals. When prohibition grips the United States in 1920, Atlas May sets his eatery, the Little Daisy Café, as the front for a successful speakeasy called the Lackadaisy. Situated at the mouth of a network of limestone caves, the speakeasy can only be accessed from the Café by those showing a pin in the shape of a Clubs card suit. With easy access to illegal alcohol and a steady clientele, business burgeons, and the Lackadaisy becomes a premier establishment. In 1926, however, Atlas is mysteriously killed, and management of the Little Daisy and the Lackadaisy falls to his widow Mitzi. Patronage at the Lackadaisy gradually falls off, bringing it to the brink of collapse, with only a handful of its original crew remaining and doing their best to keep the business alive. None of the characters know that they are cats, know what a cat is, or truly acknowledge their cat features. They believe and call themselves people. They still have certain cat attributes and traits.
