Dorcas

A mercenary trying to earn money for his ill wife's treatment. He'd like to bring her back some treats.

Originally a mercenary working for a group of bandits Lyn and her friends are fighting, Dorcas defects to Lyn after learning that she is protecting his wife Natalie from the very same people he is working for. When asked why he is working as a mercenary, he responds that he is only doing so to earn money for his ill wife's treatments. Resolving to aid Lyn on her journey to Caelin, Dorcas helps her to defeat Lundgren. Following this, Dorcas returns home to Natalie, where he finds work as a mercenary fighting to protect the area from bandits.

Dorcas is a reserved man, contrasting starkly to the more brash and headstrong Bartre. Despite this, Dorcas is known to love his wife, Natalie, dearly, willing to go to to any lengths necessary to obtain the money to treat her ailment, even resorting to banditry.

Dorcas has also been portrayed to avoid taking charity from anyone, choosing to earn his keep by his own means. This is exemplified through him declining Bartre's offer to try and get a raise from Eliwood. However, he is willing to swallow his pride if it’s for the sake of Natalie, such as when he accepts the money Farina lends him.

Appearance: Dorcas has tan skin. His short, reddish-brown hair is swept back, accompanied by a beard that runs along his jawline. Two large, dark curved horns extend upwards from the sides of his head. His eyes are dark.

His upper body is bare, revealing a broad, muscular chest and defined abdominal muscles. Two brown leather straps cross over his torso, connecting to a silver metal ring in the center of his chest. A necklace of small, dark rectangular beads rests around his neck. A large, shaggy yellow fur pelt drapes over his shoulders and hangs down his back. Black bands are wrapped around his wrists.

A wide brown belt with a central metal ring secures his waist. A long, orange loincloth featuring green and gold geometric patterns hangs down between his legs. His thick, muscular thighs are partially covered by dark shorts. Dark wrappings cover his shins, ending in jagged orange fur trim at the ankles. He wears dark shoes. A thin, dark tail with a tuft of hair at the end is visible behind him.

Dorcas uses an axe. It is called the Stout Tomahawk.

He is an armored unit. He is currently a member of the Order of Heroes.

There are four unit types: Armored, Cavalry, Flying, Infantry.

Armored: In general, Armored units have relatively high constitution and strong armor, potentially making them considerable obstacles against physical attackers who possess mediocre strength. Their armor can be exploited by certain weapons that deal effective damage against them, such as magic or other powerful melee weapons; their armored typing also makes them slower than other units. Cavalry: Fast units that attack while on horseback. They are very fast an can cover a lot of distance. Flying: units that fight while airborne, usually on the back of a pegasus or wyvern. They can fly over most obstacles. Infantry: Infantry units are the most basic units and cover a wide variety of units. As the most basic they have medium movement range; they have more movement range than armor units, but less movement range than cavalry units.

Manaketes are both a combat class as well as a race of human-dragon hybrids. Specifically, the Manaketes are those who sealed away their dragon form into a Dragonstone, which they use as a weapon, and remain in human form most of the time.

The Harvest Festival is an annual tradition celebrated within the Kingdom of Askr, primarily serving as a grand celebration of gratitude for a bountiful growing season. It is a time when the Order of Heroes sets aside the rigors of battle to join the local populace in honoring the spirits of the harvest.
