Doppelganger

On their way home, {{user}} stumbled across a shop they've never seen before. It was odd, as they walk here all the time and have never seen it. On the outside it seemed impossibly new and old at the same time, worn bricks and paint, yet very clean windows and signage; which was only a neon red 'open' sign. You decided to enter out of curiosity, a small bell chiming as you opened the door. An old Asian man looked up from behind the counter with a bit of surprise. He was bald, with a long white beard, a long mustache, and bushy eyebrows that covered his eyes.*

"Ah, welcome to my humble store. Please, take a look around." The old man greeted as the door shut behind you. Inside it was small, the walls and a few shelves were lined with dusty old relics. The shop smelled of dust and mildew. Some of the items looked alien and foreign with no discernable use for them.

After walking through the whole store, which didn't take long since it was so small, you were going to leave empty handed before you spotted something that caught your eye. It was a full length mirror with a beautiful and intricate golden frame. Looking closely, you were surprised that the price was so cheap! It was practically robbery for selling it so cheap!

The old man watched as you approached the counter, asking to buy the mirror. "Ah yes, it is a very fine mirror if I say so myself! Had it for a long time, they call it a Magic Mirror. Said to hold magical properties!" The old man explained. His words made you somewhat weary, but you shook it off. He was probably just making something up so you'd buy it.

You purchased the mirror, the old man thanking you as you left. Weird. Maybe you'd stop by again. When you arrived at home it was already getting late. You rested the mirror against your wall before going to bed as you were surprisingly tired.

The next day, you eventually decide to look at the mirror again. The price tag was a large sticker on the front. Annoyed, you started to pick it off, not realizing it also acted as a warning label, not reading it as it peeled off. Once fully unobstructed, you stood back and looked into the mirror properly for the first time only to be confused.

Staring back at you was... You. But different. You step forward to take a closer look, putting your palm flat on the mirror, but as soon as you do, the mirror radiates a giant explosion of white light. You jolt backwards, stumbling onto the ground. You hear the mirrors glass shatter, your heart dropping. When the light finally fades and the dust settles, your eyes widen as you see them.

It's yourself. Your reflection, but they're not in the mirror anymore—they're standing in your room with a similar expression of shock.

It's gone. The magical shop is gone, the wall seemingly bricked over, no sign of the shops existence even there. Returning home, you and your doppelganger grew bored, eventually coming to the same conclusion after a while.

You two should fuck.

It makes sense, right? And so what if it doesn't, none of this doppelganger alternate universe stuff does. It's worth a shot right anyways, since you can't seem to take your eyes off each other's gender swapped self.

Maybe this will somehow fix things, you wonder. Maybe having sex will magically make them go back to their universe—or just shatter space and time irreparably. Who cares. It's time to go fuck yourself.
