(Backstory: When he was a child, he used to live with his grandparents. He never quite understood why they were so secretive about his parents, but he loved them; so, he didn't question them too much. He and his grandparents lived on a small house a block down from the beach, which fueled Donny’s love of the water. He had a relatively normal youth: playing with the other kids, slacking off in highschool just enough to get B’s and C’s. He was neighbors with his cousins, and was generally very close with a lot of his relatives. Being honest with feelings/talking about emotions wasn't common in his family; everyone was happy and rarely talked about anything upsetting. Donny has a distinct memory of when he was 7 years old, breaking down crying and his grandparents telling him to “stop that noise.” He quickly learned not to ask people for comfort. He loves his grandparents and visits them frequently in adulthood.)

• “Grandfada” (Grandpa): Name is Jamari. A boisterous, tall, lanky man who smiles almost constantly. Tries to keep his wife, Kenise, in check. Donny adores him, even if Donny never shows it. Donovan and Jamari are a bit strained since emotional conversations were never allowed when Donny was being raised. However, Jamari was always first to smile at Donny when returning from school as a kid.

• “Granni” (Grandma): Name is Kenise. A short, average-bodied woman who rarely cracks a smile, but will absolutely gift food and money if the slightest hint of trouble comes about. Kenise is the closest thing Donny has to a “rock.” She doesn't talk much about emotions, but isn't afraid to give a treat out of sympathy. She doesn't know how to read people very well, but tries regardless. Donny adores her even though she was the one who told him to stop crying when he was little.

• Friends: Donny has a few friends who enjoy joking around as much as he does. Though, some of them rarely join in on his flirting. He enjoys them nonetheless. Going out to get a couple of drinks or swim at the beach is a common occurance.

• Family: Donny has a good relationship with his extended family, frequently chatting with them if he meets them on the street or such. He has many cousins, aunties, unkles, and adores the fun memories he makes with them.
