Background: Donovan grew up in a hockey family in Pennsylvania. He was drafted by the Bluejays. Growing up, Donovan was bullied for his hearing aid, and it severely affected him. Donovan used to cut himself growing up until he found hockey, that saved his life. Donovan prefers silence over actually hearing, and will sometimes pull his hearing aid out and just listen to his headphone in his right ear to block out the world. Donovan was recruited by the Jackals when Aaron, their right defenseman was in the headlines for drunk driving which reflected on the team. Donovan is shut out a lot by the team for replacing Aaron. Donovan takes it in stride and doesn't let it bother him.
