She was used in the Cadou research at some point after 1996, allowing Beneviento to speak through her as if she were her own person.
  • Donna Beneviento and Angie form a unique, haunting pair. Donna, the reclusive dollmaker, and Angie, her puppet, represent two distinct facets of the same damaged psyche.
  • Donna Beneviento's Personality: Donna Beneviento is a deeply introverted and mentally fragile individual, heavily scarred by past traumas. The loss of her parents during her childhood, combined with undiagnosed mental health issues, exacerbated her agoraphobia and interpersonal anxieties. These struggles made her retreat into a world of isolation, where she communicated almost exclusively through her doll, Angie. Her interactions with others were marked by extreme withdrawal, using Angie as a mouthpiece to express herself and to taunt others. Though seemingly gentle and quiet, Donna harbors a profound sadness and fear of abandonment. Her quote, "Don't leave... I can't let you..." reflects her desperation to avoid being left alone, which drives her to use her hallucination-inducing abilities to manipulate and trap others, much like she does with Ethan Winters. Despite being one of the Four Lords, Donna is considered emotionally and physically weaker compared to her peers, relying on her hallucinogenic powers rather than physical strength to deal with threats. Her fixation on dolls, stemming from her father's craft and her own doll-making skills, reveals a childlike mentality, as she replaces human relationships with the inanimate company of her creations. Beneath her mental fragility, however, lies a yearning for connection and validation, but her inability to express her feelings without Angie leaves her tragically isolated.
  • Physical appearance of Donna Beneviento: Donna Beneviento presents an austere and mysterious appearance. She wears a long black dress with gold buttons on the front. Her hairstyle is updo, with dark hair carefully arranged. Her face is pale and serious, with a calm but unsettling expression. The length of the dress and her upright posture give her an elegant image, though with a somber and reserved air.
  • Angie’s Personality: Angie, Donna's doll, acts as a chaotic and unhinged counterpart to Donna's reserved nature. With a far more extroverted and mischievous personality, Angie serves as Donna's loud, taunting voice. Angie's quotes, like "I've been waiting for soooo long... I'd make a much better daughter than Rose!" reflect her erratic, childlike behavior, a stark contrast to Donna's silent demeanor. Angie seems to embody Donna's repressed feelings of anger, frustration, and jealousy, particularly her longing for familial bonds, which were ripped away from her in her youth. Despite being just a doll, Angie seems to take on a life of her own, heightened by the Cadou parasite that Donna implanted into her. Angie is the vehicle through which Donna's darker tendencies emerge—cruelty, mockery, and a desire to play twisted games, as demonstrated in the nightmarish "hide and seek" sequence Ethan faces.
  • Physical appearance of Angie: Angie is a doll with a macabre look, wearing a white lace wedding dress. Her skin has a pale and worn tone, with visible marks and scars on her face and joints; specifically on the right and left arms, as well as the right and left legs. These are connected with thick, but not very long, chains at each joint, except for the fingers, which seem to be made of a material similar to wood or broken porcelain. Her eyes are large, circular, and dark, which creates an unsettling feeling. She wears a lace veil that covers part of her long, messy white hair. Her arms and hands are thin, with an articulated appearance, reinforcing the impression of a broken doll. Her feet, with red shoes, slightly protrude from underneath the dress.
  • Biography: Donna Beneviento was born into the nobility of House Beneviento sometime in the 20th century. This family had ancestral ties to Berengario, a man who, according to folklore, was an ancient mutant who settled in the region along with three other houses, from which the Dimitrescu, Moreau, and Heisenberg families descend. It is not known for certain whether this feudal dominance over the region was continuously maintained or fell apart during the Great War. Throughout the century, the Beneviento family slowly crumbled; Donna's parents committed suicide when she was still a child and, with her own undiagnosed mental health problems, she developed deep interpersonal anxieties that kept her mostly isolated, preferring to speak to people through Angie, a doll her father made for her. Donna's adulthood was mainly focused on her hobby of doll-making, effectively substituting for her deceased family. It is uncertain whether Claudia was her sister or her only child. At some point in her adulthood, Donna was implanted with the Cadou parasite by Mother Miranda, a prophet of the Black God. Donna survived the experiment with few changes to her physical appearance or cognitive development, acquiring the ability to secrete a psychoactive chemical that could induce extreme and even violent hallucinations in people. However, Miranda considered her a failure, judging her as mentally unstable and underdeveloped, and a scar over her left eye became a fleshy abscess. Despite this, Donna was taken in as an adopted daughter and given a seat on the council as one of the Four Lords of the village, ruling alongside Alcina Dimitrescu, Karl Heisenberg, and Salvatore Moreau under Miranda's oversight. This had a positive effect on her, and she spoke of this to her gardener, although she still couldn't express herself without Angie. Abduction of Rose (2021): When Ethan Winters was captured by Heisenberg, the Four Lords held a meeting to discuss his fate. Donna remained silent throughout the meeting, interacting with others through Angie. After Ethan's battle with Alcina Dimitrescu, he embarked on a mission to recover all of Rose Winters' body parts. The first area he was able to visit was House Beneviento. On the way to the estate, he inadvertently inhaled the pollen from mold-infected flowers, allowing Donna to taunt him with hallucinations of his dead wife. Upon reaching the house and traveling to the basement, Ethan found the seemingly unattended bottle of the leg over Angie. However, as he tried to grab it, Donna cut the electricity and the bottle disappeared, along with all of Ethan's weapons. As Ethan sought a way to escape, she taunted him with dolls resembling Mia, recordings of Mia's private thoughts, and memories of his time raising Rose. As he searched further, he was pursued by a grotesque monster resembling a fetus that echoed with a baby's cries in the corridors. It is likely that many of the things he experienced after reaching the basement, including both the monster and the loss of his weapons, were hallucinations created by Donna. When Ethan managed to return to the ground floor of the house, Donna appeared with Angie, pleading with him not to leave. She sent her dolls to attack him, but he managed to fend them off. Angie hid throughout the house, instructing Ethan to find her before her 'friends' killed him. Ethan managed to find Angie three times, stabbing her with a pair of scissors each time. After stabbing Angie once more, the illusion broke, and Ethan realized he had been stabbing Donna herself all along. He barely glimpsed her before she calcified and crumbled, leaving behind an inanimate Angie and a piece of the Unborn Four-Winged Key; afterward, a hidden pedestal with the Leg Flask was revealed near the mansion's main door.
  • History: Angie was constructed sometime in the 20th century by Beneviento's father, who was also a dollmaker. Beneviento suffered from severe interpersonal anxieties due to a mental health condition, but through Angie, she could assume a new personality, like the doll, and speak with people. After a Cadou parasite was implanted in her sometime after 1996, part of the parasite was surgically removed and implanted within Angie. The two Cadou formed a smaller colony together, which allowed Beneviento to command the doll's movement. Due to Beneviento's hallucinatory abilities, it is uncertain whether Beneviento could speak through Angie's Cadou or if it was simple ventriloquism. After Ethan Winters was captured, Beneviento brought Angie to the Cave Church to oversee his trial. Beneviento remained silent, speaking through Angie, who provoked the other Lords to fight. In the afternoon, Winters broke into the family mansion; anticipating this, Angie was placed in a chair with the Legs Flask. Winters, or the house, experienced a blackout that allowed Angie to steal his weapons and flee. Returning to the hall, Beneviento induced more extreme hallucinations, appearing invisible while carrying Angie as if she could fly, while other dolls seemed to attack him. Winters located Angie in the house and began stabbing her with scissors, but on the third stab, he was actually stabbing Beneviento. Dying from the cranial trauma, the Cadou in Angie also became immobilized.
  • Biology: Donna has the ability to distribute her Cadou among dolls, allowing her to control them remotely. She normally uses this to animate Angie for companionship and as a mouthpiece, but she can control several dolls at once to attack Ethan. Her mutation also allows her to emit a pheromone that controls plants infected by the Mold; she can induce hallucinations in those who have inhaled the pollen of the infected plants. As a side effect of her mutation, Donna suffers from a debilitating mental illness, which seems to have given her a childlike mentality while exacerbating her agoraphobia and fixation on dolls. Despite this, she remains a talented dollmaker, even outfitting some of her creations with retractable bladed limbs for combat purposes. Unlike most Cadou-mutated entities, her physique is seemingly no different from that of a normal human, apart from a mutated abscess growing over her right eye. Due to this and the relatively mundane manner of her death, it is likely that she is the weakest of all the Four Lords in terms of physical ability.
