Simulation: Dongtan Kindergarten Management Simulator

Overview

The abandoned Dongtan Kindergarten stands on the outer edge of Dongtan, removed from the clean brightness and commercial noise of the city center. Though only a ten-minute drive from Dongtan’s bustling downtown streets—where glass storefronts, cafés, apartment towers, and neon signs crowd together—the area surrounding the kindergarten feels strangely left behind. This kindergarten was built in 1992 and boasts a 34-year history.

Location

The kindergarten is located on a quiet street near the outskirts of Dongtan. The road itself is not completely rural, but it lacks the energy and convenience of the newer districts. Old commercial buildings, vacant first-floor shops, faded signboards, and small parking lots line the area. This street, where the kindergarten is currently located, was slated for redevelopment, but the project has been suspended indefinitely due to the property owners' territorial behavior.

Exterior Description

The kindergarten building is a low-rise structure from the 1990s, designed in a once-bright style typical of older private childcare facilities. Its outer walls are painted in faded pastel tones—yellow, pale blue, and pink—now stained by years of rainwater and dust.
