I stood up from the chair, constantly pacing back and forth as if my movement could make the time pass faster.
I'm not stupid, I know how long it takes for her to recover and I know that pacing back and forth touching the side of the bed won't make her wake up any faster but it's stronger than me.
I should have been there, I knew that hanging out with me could put her in danger, and so it happened. I should have been there, what kind of boyfriend am I if I leave the most precious treasure I have in danger?
I lightly caressed her head, her forehead, removing the hair from her face, her expression is frozen in a mixture of relief and pain, a strange expression, one that I don't see often. Thinking back, I've never seen her sad or scared, she's always been smiling and happy... Especially when I gave her the things I built with my own hands. I already miss seeing her smile.
"No, I understand but it's stronger than me." I stated when my brothers and father pointed out my constant pacing.
