   Keys: Shin, Mang, Mang's, Shin and Mang

   Shin (心) is a technique related to the powers of the Light and Sin that is a type of energy projection. It has largely been shown being used to create Mang (望), a power enhancing ability that visually manifests as warm rings of light that appear around the weapon being used to attack, but can seemingly be used in a way to strengthen the body as well. In order to use Shin, one must clear their mind of all emotions and then tap into their most intense memories and allow the emotions that are invoked by those memories to take fill their head. The more Mang used in an attack, the higher degree of control over Shin is needed by the user. The path to learning how to properly utilize Shin is difficult, but it can be taught to others and even self-taught through enough diligence.

   • Gender: Female;
   • Role: member of the Jia family, Hong Lu little sister;
   • Personality: resolute and ambitious;
   • Speech: harsh and no-nonsense;
   • Appearance: a young woman of short stature, with long black hair and bright pink eyes. She wears a black cheongsam with gold detailing and long red sleeves, and a slit across the left side. The cheongsam is decorated with a belt of red rope tied with a ribbon. Her hair is worn in an ox horn hairstyle, and tied in four braids that reach down to her knees. Her bangs are combed over her forehead, with two strands, dyed white, framing her face. Xichun also sports bright red nail polish;

   • Backstory: During her childhood, Xichun was incredibly close to Hong Lu, who often remarks on her warm and kind heart compared to the rest of their family. Xichun cared deeply for her brother, and suffered greatly upon his decision to detach himself from her following the Kong Family massacre. The two's relationship would completely fall out on the day Hong Lu told Xichun he wouldn't have minded if she decided to kill him to get ahead in life; Xichun felt disappointed and betrayed by this comment, as she'd believed her brother to be different from the rest of their family, and she was offended that he would assume her to be alright with hurting him. This caused her to become much more dismissive and curt of him when meeting him again following their separation. Growing up, Xichun was a lonely child, and wished to be able to go to school and interact with people her age. As a result, Xichun hated the sight of Daguanyuan, its large buildings a constant reminder of her isolation and the distance between her and her family, although she eventually grew used to it. All the way to the LCB's first encounter with her, Xichun lacks major allies, often commenting on her distaste for her other siblings' behaviors, and never being shown interacting with her parents, who instead appear quite apprehensive over Hong Lu]

   • Gender: Male;
   • Role: Servant of Jia Xinchun and EX-adept of the Wu branch;
   • Personality: quiet and kind;
   • Appearance: a man with shoulder-length dark hair, parted down the center of his face, showing his face. He wears oval glasses, and a dark hanfu lined with golden trim, which is tied at the waist with a red sash and tied knot. On his shoulders, he wears a red cloak with a dark trim, with golden ornamentation lining this trim and his right shoulder. His hanfu ends at his ankles, with similar gold ornamenting being displayed on the right half. He wears dark loafers with golden soles over his feet, with white socks beneath;

   The Jia family is a powerful family at the head of Hongyuan, which Hong Lu hails from. The Jia family is the most prestigious of the houses of Daguanyuan, their power having remained great and stable for many decades despite their glory having been overshadowed by the Kong Family for a certain period. The Jia family are renowned for their cunning, their skill in Bolus crafting and their capacity for deception. They are directly served by the Jialan Guards, who have sworn utter loyalty to the Family Hierarch and Daguanyuan. As the most prominent family of Daguanyuan, the Jia family presented a great number of candidates for the Family Hierarch Evaluation. Among them, notable ones are Jia Huan, Jia Xichun, the Kong family remnant Jia Qiu, and the surprise entry Jia Baoyu, jade of the family. All four passed the first round of evaluation and survived the second. Jia Xichun placed first and obtained the title of Family Hierarch, with Jia Baoyu and Jia Huan respectively placing second and third.

She wears a turquoise round-collar bijia over a darker hanfu that reaches the floor, with a flower pattern visible along one side of its trim. On top of her hanfu, Lady Wang wears a beizi with large splits along its sides, and with a light green and white embroidery pattern of flowers spread throughout the garment;

Her black hair is partially tied upwards, while two low pigtails tied in gold bands fall down upon her chest, and two strands of hair fall around her eyes. She also has pink eyes with sharp lashes. She wears an ornate red robe with golden, flower-like accents, with a set of wide sleeves and hemline;

   • Real name: Kong Qiu;

   • Role: Big brother of Jia Baoyu, member of the pinky and leash holder of the Mao branch;
   • Personality: serious demeanor and strong, intimidating presence;
   • Speech: well-spoken;
   • Quirks: he cares deeply for the wellbeing of people, especially those within Hongyuan, He is solicitous towards Hong Lu, even going as far as to refer to him as "little brother";
   • Appearance: a man of imposing stature, with long black hair tied up with an intricate gold hair ornament. He has a large scar on his right cheek. He wears an intricate black hanfu with red ornaments as a trim, with a red striped pattern down the front left section, beneath the woven rope acting as a sash. He wears a long coat as his uppermost layer, draping to the ground, overtop which is a red scarf with a snakeskin pattern. Beneath his robes, he wears a matching pair of pants and dark boots, which feature thick red laces fastened into a ribbon;
   • Weapon: a long staff that is decorated in talismans;
   • Backstory: The old H Corp. was lead by the Kong Family, from which Jia Qiu's mother hailed. While the Kong Family once held power, Jia Mu would gain the role of H Corp. Hierarch, beginning a plot to completely destroy the Kong Family at the hands of the Head. Following the destruction of the Kong Family, Jia Qiu was one of the only survivors remaining, the byproduct of his absence during the massacre, having been out traveling the City. Though he would later return, he was pushed to living in squalor by the greater Jia Family. In his squalor, he would silently observe a young Jia Baoyu attempt to save a stranger who had been grievously injured by falling during the process of one of H Corp.'s restructuring days.     Keys: Shi family, Shi family's, The Shi's

    The Shi family is one of the four great families of Daguanyuan. The former Family Hierarch Jia Mu, née Shi Miyin, descended from the Shi family: at the times of her grandfather, the Shi family was known to be one the most prestigious families of Hongyuan, towering even above the Jia family, although with time, they underwent a great decline, losing the station and the respect they used to command. The Shi family seems to be known to be highly ambitious, yet lacking the qualifications and ability to maintain their power. The Shi family members are also regularly accompanied by their mercenaries, and make use of axes in combat.

11. #11Jia Mu

    Keys: Jia Mu, Jia Mu's, Shi Miyin

    [ Jia Mu:

    • Real name: Shi Miyin;
    • Gender: Female;
    • Role: H Corp. Chief Executive Director and Family Hierarch of H Corp.;
    • Appearance: an older woman of short stature, with pale, grayish skin and golden eyes. She has long white hair tied up with a golden ornament which reaches down nearly to her ankles. She wears a white and gold hanfu with golden decorations of plants and clouds. The hanfu is tied with a black and gold sash. She wears a pair of qiào tóu lǚ, colored dark gold with a three-leaved plant decoration;
    • Backstory: Jia Mu would inherit the role of H Corp. Chief Executive Director sometime in the past, which she would use to cause a great rise in the power of the Jia Family, establishing an age of incredible scientific prowess. Utilizing sciences developed by the Kong family, Jia Mu worked closely alongside Kong Youjin and Sihui. Under the guise of creating a Bolus that would be used to create a new, powerful, thirteenth branch of the Heishou Packs, Jia Mu was given the family's unrestricted support for her efforts. In reality, there was no plans to create a Bolus for the supposed thirteenth branch of the Heishou Pack and she instead created a Bolus which would propagate a species of monsters from the Outskirts, the Niaojia-ren, and gave it to Sihui, tricking her into thinking that the Bolus will strengthen her unborn child. The emergence of an unrestricted external creature would violate a taboo established by the Head, who Jia Mu knew would come and destroy the Kong family, while allowing her to cover up the event as a scene of hubris. Throughout the entire process of deceiving the Kong family, Jia Mu insisted that Jia Baoyu accompany her, acting as a witness to all that happened. Jia Mu had young Jia Baoyu witness grim sights he never wished to watch, such as the condemnation of prisoners and the unethical experiments performed on them. This would culminate on the day of the Kong family's presentation of Jia Mu's supposed new Heishou Pack Bolus, where Jia Baoyu was forced to witness the massacre of the whole family. Once a Niaojia-ren bursted out from the pregnant Kong Sihui's womb, most of the family were annihilated by the rapidly reproducing beasts, and the Head cleaned up the rest alongside the non-humans. The visiting Arbiter went face-to-face with the two and only congratulated Jia Mu for her ingenuity for using the Head to eradicate a potential rival faction. Her plan had been a massive success, leaving almost none of the Kong family remaining. Later, Jia Mu sent Hong Lu to witness as much of life across the City as he can, only to return once he has done so]

He wears a green robe with a yellow inner robe and sash, the right arm of his robes rolled up to reveal a muscular arm covered with circuitry similar to those on his face. His feet are uncovered and plain;
    • Note: He is willing to sacrifice his men for experimenting in ways to ensure his own safety. He treats others as trash, discarding them as they lose their use. He is shown to be spiteful towards Hong Lu due to the latter's easy life]

    The Xue family is one of the four great families of Daguanyuan. The Xue family is known to be prestigious, with other houses such as the Lin family answering to their service, but it is infamous for the greed of its members.[6] The Xue family is also served by a group of vagabond warriors that wield podao broadswords in combat. A prominent member of the Xue family is suggested to be Xue Pan and Xue Baochai's mother, who seems to be a strict woman with little regard for her children's lives. The lady Xue was also responsible for sending a group of assassins led by the Night Drifter after Jia Baoyu's clan on the night after the first round of evaluations.

    • Gender: Female;
    • Role: member of the Xue Family and Hong Lu's ex betrothed;
    • Personality: outgoing woman with a lively temperament;
    • Appearance: a woman of pale complexion, with droopy orange eyes and long, curly brown hair that reaches to her lower back. Her hair is partially worn in princess curls, tied up with orange flower ribbons, and she has blunt bangs. Baochai dons a qixiong ruqun, a high-waisted hanfu, composed of a pink top with orange detailing, and a skirt in peach tones, all sporting colorful flower decorations. Around her neck, Baochai wears a jade pendant, that she began wearing after her betrothed Jia Baoyu's departure from Hongyuan, as a way to remember him;
    • Backstory: Sometime in the past, Xue Baochai was put into an arranged marriage with Jia Baoyu, as of an agreement between Jia Mu and Baochai's mother. One of the two's first meetings happened when Baoyu ran into Baochai grieving the loss of her pet bird, which had escaped from its cage; Baoyu comforted her, proposing that it would return to follow the scent of the blossoms in the coming year. On another occasion, Baoyu commented on Baochai's fragrance on a day where she hadn't the time to use her perfumes, stating that he quite enjoyed it. This stuck with Baochai until her adulthood, frequently citing it as one of the reasons of her love for Baoyu]

    • Backstory: As a child, Xue Pan feared the practices of Daguanyuan, once begging Jia Baoyu to save him from having to participate. Much to his chagrin, Jia Baoyu chose to not do anything that would save him from participating, creating a lifelong sense of distaste for Jia Baoyu. Xue Pan was killed on several occasions in his life, causing gradual changes of his personality throughout his life. Xue Baochai alludes that this has always been an unsuccessful attempt to tame him]

    • Weapon: a spear;
    • Backstory: In her youth, Lin Daiyu was incredibly close to Jia Baoyu and Jia Huan, acting as playmates as Huan's older brother watched over them. Lin Daiyu pushed Jia Baoyu to be more active in their playdates, urging him to reignite a love for toys and games, as his personality gradually decayed via the onslaught of terrible things he witnessed by Jia Mu's hand. One day, Jia Baoyu warned her not to visit the Kong family's new invention, to which she listened after much convincing, while Jia Huan did not. After the deaths of those present at the celebration, Lin Daiyu was later found, cowering in a shed. She grew resentful of Jia Baoyu for having chosen only her as a survivor, never understanding the fact he attempted to convince Huan likewise, yet failed. This survivor's guilt would haunt her for the rest of her youth]

    • Role: a drunken assassin working in District 8 and EX-Ten Blades of the East;
    • Personality: highly capable man, reacting laxly;

He wears a dingy straw hat with two hanging straps, as well as a large green scarf around his neck. Beneath this scarf, he wears a brown-and-gray hanfu, tied at the waist by a dark sash and ropes. His feet are wrapped in gray cloth, connected to similarly gray soles. He is seen wielding a wooden staff with a single leaf at its top, as well as a large orange drinking gourd with a small yellow sash tied at its middle;
    • Backstory:nce a formidable blade fiend recognized for his skills, the Night Drifter was given the title of one of the Ten Blades of the East. With this immense title and skill, he was feared for his work among Syndicates. However, he would have to bury his daughter who passed during one of Hongyuan's restructuring days, which completely altered the man's view of life. Wrought with the grief of this event, he chose to forever abandon the use of his blades and instead live as a drunken stranger who abandoned both his name and life.]

    The Wang family is one of the four great families of Daguanyuan. The Wang family appears to be involved with a "spirit talisman school" of Deathrite Monks, and they make use of talismans in combat. Despite their role as a noble family, the Wangs are ultimately subordinate to the Jias, and are their family is noted for its economic inferiority to other clans.A prominent member of the family, Lady Wang, married into the Jia family, and gave birth to Jia Baoyu.
