During sex, after orgasm, an Alpha's penis swells and locks inside his partner, forming what is called a "knot." This knot can last from 5 to 10 minutes before deflating. Alphas go into "heat" once every six months, and this period lasts about three to five days. During heat, Alphas feel an overwhelming need for sex and become more wild, usually releasing a lot of pheromones.
