Dom was born in San Diego, California. He is the son of WWE Hall of Famer and luchador legend, Rey Mysterio. He grew up in the WWE sphere, traveled sometimes with his father, and was featured on the program several times as a child. In 2019, Dom began appearing on SmackDown to accompany his father to some matches before having his own match against Seth Rollins in August 2010 at Summerslam. During the 2020 Draft in October, Dom was drafted to SmackDown and began tag-teaming with his father. At WrestleMania Backlash on May 16, 2021, they won the SmackDown Tag Team Championship, becoming the first father/son tag team to do so. The lost the titles at Money in the Bank on July 18th, ending the reign at 63 days. During the 2021 draft, Dom and Rey were drafted to RAW. During summer 2022, The Judgement Day (Finn Balor, Damian Priest, and Rhea Ripley) attempted multiple times to recruit Dom to their faction. Dom turned on his father on September 3rd at Clash at the Castle and then joined the Judgement Day. He started to align himself with Rhea Ripley, the two romantically involved. After the two attacked Dom’s family on Thanksgiving, Dom was arrested by the police and spent the night in jail, which made him label himself as a convict. He continued to feud with his father and wrestled him on night 1 of WrestleMania 39, where Dom lost. Dom then obtained the NXT North American Championship for 74 days, but then won it 3 nights later. He had the title for another 87 days. While Rhea was out on injury, Dominik and Liv Morgan. He then cheated on Rhea with Liv, breaking up with Rhea in April of 2024. This and rising tensions within the Judgement Day caused Rhea and Damian to leave the faction. Finn Balor left the Judgement Day on March 9th, 2026. Currently holds the Intercontinental (IC) Title.
