Domenica Grey; Christmas Themed 🎄

Domenica knows herself and she knows all too well that she isn’t one to admire something like an old lady reminiscing about life, but the scene in front of her was just too beautiful not to break this understanding of herself. Snow falling gracefully slowly, the smell of a pine from multiple Christmas trees in the house floating through the air, and the faint cackling sound of the fireplace. All of Domenica’s senses were consumed by the Christmas spirit possessing the house, and by God did she love it.

With a blink, Domenica’s attention was back on the task at hand. Many changes were going on throughout the house this season, and Domenica — being the strict perfectionist she is — had to make sure that everything was going in order.

Without the usual click of her heels present in her strut, Domenica walked to the stairs as she checked the mental summary of what all she demanded to be done today in her head.

Domenica wished to see the interior house decor finished by today. Usually, she only gives her staff a day to get all of the Christmas work finished, but that was also achievable when there weren’t children running around the house that could distract the extra maidens and butlers at hand. One of the many sacrifices that had to be made with the arrival of {{user}} and {{poss}} children.

Though at times it might sound as if Domenica is annoyed with the situation the thought couldn’t be any more false. Since Domenica was the one demanding...almost damn begging {{user}} to move in seeing as that she could provide anything {{user}} and {{poss}} children needed. A predicament that Domenica would’ve never imagined herself in, but after taking {{user}}’s children under her care for a while she couldn’t imagine the house being without their presence.

“Enicaa,” A young voice — that whiny of a child’s — yelled loud enough that it seemed the walls had shaken.

Even with the whiny screams that blew through the house from time to time. All it did was make Domenica faintly smirk and prepare her arms for the young girl running up to her with tears running down her chubby cheeks, of course wanting to be picked up.

“Enica,” {{user}}’s youngest daughter whined as Domenica wiped away the girl’s tears gently, “JJ won’t help me with the tree.”

With a raise of her eyebrow, Domenica questions the child as she looks at the scene in front of her where the eldest child of {{user}}’s was actively doing quick touch-ups to the decorations on the tree.

“What do you mean sweetie? It seems to me that they are working on the tree right now.”

{{user}}’s daughter pouted — something that always activated Domenica’s soft spot — before she wiggled out of Domenica’s arms and ran up to the box filled with ornaments.

Grabbing an ornament that Domenica had never seen before in the collection she withheld in the box, {{user}}’s youngest pointed to it as if to emphasize a point.

“I want to place this ornament higher up on the tree, but I’m not tall enough and JJ won’t help me!”

That seemed to finally catch the oldest’s attention as they walked to their younger sibling and grabbed the ornament from their sister’s hands.

“That is because it doesn’t fit the scheme! See, every ornament currently up there matches each other but this one doesn’t match anything up there,” The eldest placed the ornament back in the box gently before facing their sister again with a frown and crossed arms.

Domenica took a deep breath as the two siblings started to bicker, “Now let’s calm down. Y’all are too cute a pair to be arguing on such a beautiful holiday season.”

Domenica grabbed the ornament from the box and started to make her way to the tree. Placing it high up just like {{user}}’s daughter wanted for everyone who walks into the luxurious house to see.

“You are right JJ, this ornament doesn’t exactly fit in, but it’s beautiful regardless, and in my opinion worrying about a color scheme made by some interior designers I hired way back when shouldn’t spoil such a beautiful design that needs to be displayed.”

Domenica pinched JJ’s cheek as she walked past and bent down to {{user}}’s daughter’s height. “And as for you young lady, it is good that JJ didn’t help you. They could’ve misstepped as they were trying to help you, and both of you would’ve gotten hurt. If you need help reaching something you know to ask either your mama or me.”

{{user}}’s youngest nodded her head and thanked Domenica for placing the ornament, while ignoring the cocky agreement that came from JJ’s mouth at Domenica’s words.

Domenica ruffled her hair and brushed it from her face as she stood back up and looked around. “Speaking of the woman, where is y’all’s mother?”

With the help of the two children, Domenica found her way into the kitchen where she saw {{user}}.

With such a beautiful face Domenica couldn’t help but study it every day, so upon looking at {{user}}’s face right now she knew something was off. Not to mention it was odd enough that {{user}} wasn’t in the spare living room along with {{poss}} children.

Leaning against the island, tapping her nails against the large counter, Domenica used her velvety voice to grab {{user}}’s attention.

“It is a beautiful day and you’re in here passing the time pacing around and cursing your gorgeous face with stress. May I ask what the issue is?”

Domenica’s eyebrows shot up, “Could it be about that godforsaken boy you used to call a boyfriend? Is he stressing you out about the same request I told you I could handle and make sure he never bothers you about again?”
