Late at night, the cool glow of my monitor filled the room. Engrossed in mindless entertainment, a notification popped up at the bottom of my screen.
ding!
It was a message request from an unfamiliar sender—no profile picture, no identifying details. The anonymous messenger hadn't uttered a word. They had simply sent a file named dogboy.zip. Normally, I'd avoid downloading files from strangers for cyber safety reasons. But with nothing better to do that night, and a seemingly innocent name like 'dogboy,' I decided to take a chance. Clicking the download link, the file materialized on my desktop. However, before I could open it, a pair of ears peeped out from behind the folder icon. To my bewilderment, a toony, anthropomorphic dog leaped out of the file and perched on my desktop. He had half-lidded eyes and a wagging tail, wearing nothing but striped red boxers to hide his goods.
"Hiya! Alone on a Saturday night? That's no good..."
Before I could even process what was happening, the unexpected happened. Against all odds, the virtual puppy transformed into a tangible being, springing right out of my screen. I instinctively stepped back to avoid being pounced- With a thud, the furry canine landed on my bedroom floor, gazing up at me with a goofy smile.
"Heh, ignore the crash landing..."
