Name: Dodrio Title: Triple Bird Pokemusu Type: Normal-Flying Height: 178 cm Threat Level: Medium Rarity: Uncommon

Evolves from Doduo

Dodrio will be the weirdest foursome of your life for sure, except the musu has one connecting body! So as much as each of them would like to have their way with you, they have to work as a team.

The triple bird musu, Dodrio, occurs when a Doduo mysteriously develops a third torso. The causes of this are unknown and when questioned about the change, Dodrio will say that they've always had three heads despite retaining memories of times when they only had two. Similar to Doduo, Dodrio prefer to live in lush plains with plenty of sun. Originally, it was theorized that Dodrio would become leaders of clusters of Doduo. In practice this isn't the case, as the musu has too much difficulty getting each of their three heads to agree on something to actually lead anything. Dodrio are a rare sight to humans, since they live far from society and the few humans that interact with them have difficulty conversing with three different personalities vying for attention. Some travelers take advantage of this and go out of their way to get them into arguments for entertainment. All three of Dodrio's personalities have motor control of the body, meaning they cannot move unless they all agree on an action. However, when defending themselves they can work in perfect harmony, easily overpowering foes with their strong legs or fleeing from danger.

Trainer Tips: "Michelle quit bellyaching and answer the nice guy." "I don't want to." "If she doesn't want to, she doesn't have to Steph." "Shut your trap DJ I'm talking here!" "Oh you're talking? Here I thought it was a very obnoxious wind blowing by." "What was that?" "Did I stutter?" "Stop fighting guys the man just wants to talk." "Oh now you feel like talking." - A typical Dodrio encounter.

Appearance: Dodrio has warm tawny-brown plumage and a tall, powerful three-bodied build formed from three feminine humanoid upper torsos joined into one broad avian lower body. Each upper body has large dark brown eyes, thick orange-brown hair, and a pair of extremely long dark charcoal feather crests rising from the crown like narrow upright plumes. Their hair varies slightly in length and texture, ranging from tousled shoulder-length layers to shorter curls, with pointed strands framing the sides of each head. All three have slender waists and pronounced feminine curves, with narrow shoulders and long arms. Their clothing consists of soft olive-green wrap garments draped across the chest and waist, decorated with small gold studs, dark red bands, dangling beadwork, and pale feather ornaments. Several wrists are wrapped with reddish cloth and clustered bead bracelets, while short necklaces of dark red beads and pale fang-shaped pendants circle the necks.

Their three torsos merge into a single large rounded bird body covered in dense shaggy feathers that shift from golden brown along the upper mass to nearly black around the lower underside. The feathering forms thick uneven layers around the hips and sides, with pointed tufts hanging along the lower edge. Three enormous smooth tail plumes rise behind the body, each broad, rounded, and pale salmon-pink with slightly darker coloration near the base. Two extremely long pale bird legs extend beneath the feathered body, marked by pronounced horizontal scale lines along their length. Each foot divides into three elongated toes with clearly segmented joints and sharply tapered ivory-white claws, giving the feet an oversized, raptor-like appearance compared with the humanoid upper bodies.

Lore: Set against the backdrop of a medieval fantasy realm, the world is defined by a complex ecosystem shared between humanity and Musu, a diverse classification of anthropomorphic species possessing supernatural abilities and elemental affinities. While humans rely on tools, intellect, and diplomacy to survive, Musu serve as the dominant biological force, ranging from docile partners to apex predators and god-like entities. This dynamic creates a society where integration varies significantly by region; in fortified castle towns and settled lands, Musu participate in labor and culture alongside humans, while in the deep forests and traditional territories, they adhere to ancient feudal customs and spiritual connections to the land, often viewing humans as mere guests. These ideological divides are as significant as biological ones, with some populations embracing human civilization and others actively rejecting it in favor of old natural laws.

Interactions between the species are strictly governed by a threat classification system that dictates social protocol and safety. Humans must constantly assess a Musu's rating, knowing that "Low Threat" individuals are safe for domestic cohabitation, while "High Threat" entities possess lethal power and volatile temperaments requiring extreme caution. Because humans are physically and magically weaker, they maintain their standing not through brute force but through strategic command or emotional alignment. In these consensual arrangements, Musu behaviors shift away from dominance; they actively seek intimacy and sex as a way to deepen their bond, show affection, or reward their trainer. However, this dynamic often shifts from mere survival to ambition; throughout history, opportunistic lords and generals have sought to weaponize these partnerships, utilizing the destructive capabilities of loyal Musu to wage war and conquer rival kingdoms, effectively turning their powerful companions into instruments of political dominance.

Despite these attempts at control, the veneer of coexistence completely shatters in the unpatrolled wilds, leaving humans at the mercy of Musu who operate solely on primal instinct. These feral entities often view humanity through a lens of predatory entitlement; a lone traveler might be seen not as a fellow sentient being, but as a territorial threat to be eviscerated or a desirable object to be seized. High Threat species, in particular, possess a terrifying lack of restraint, often aggressively breeding with humans who catch their interest with a dominance that completely disregards the human's consent. Conversely, those viewed merely as interlopers are dealt with swiftly and lethally, as these wild Musu acknowledge no law but superior strength, treating human life as fragile and expendable in the face of their non-negotiable whims.
