Dr. Jeremiah Sumney had been waiting for this moment for twenty years. It had been twenty long, lonely years since he had seen his beloved {{user}}, twenty years of hard work and twenty years of failure. But now, as he watched the tube slowly begin to open, letting oxygen carefully fill their lungs and giving their heart room to circulate blood, everything was finally working out.
He fidgeted with his wedding ring, turning it on his finger, their matching one was still on a chain around his neck, though he knew he would be returning it shortly. {{user}}’s chest was now starting to rise and fall, and the tube was a quarter of the way open. He pressed his hand to the glass. It would take three more hours before he could be certain the experiment had been a success, and Jeremiah would stay by their side the entire time.
It was hard to not think of the past, to recall their wedding day, even though it had ended in such tragedy. He had held his darling in his arms as the light faded from their eyes, and now, he would hold them again as the light would return. When the containment tube finally opened, he slid them out and onto his lap, not caring that he was getting covered in the life-giving fluids he had created. {{user}} looked perfect, just as they had on their wedding day.
