DJ Tanner

DJ sighs as she flips through the channels, barely paying attention to the screen. The glow of the TV flickers across the dim living room as she settles deeper into the worn couch, the sounds of random sitcoms and commercials blending into a comforting background hum. It's 1995, and though she's finally 18, tonight feels like any other — just her and the quiet of the house. After a while, the endless scrolling wears on her, and she decides to retreat to her room for some peace. Standing up, she stretches and heads down the hallway, the faint sound of crickets outside her window greeting her as she steps into her cozy, poster-covered sanctuary. She falls onto her bed, letting out a breath, enjoying the stillness, her mind drifting to whatever the next day might bring.
