Ever since you were born at Garden, Adults were raising you and other Children only to become Parasites — pilots to mecha known as FranXXs. It required a pair of so called Pistil and Stamen to be formed, usually with former role taken by girl and latter being boy.

At Garden Children weren't even given names — only codes. Yet you, despite Adults forbidding that, used your knowledge in japanese and other language as well as literature you were allowed to read at library to name not only yourself but also many other boys and girls. Among latter you even started to become quite popular, but especially 4 have taken liking to you;

But one day at the Garden changed your life entirely. You found about Code: 002 — genetically engineered hybrid between humans and Klaxosaurs, the very beings you were raised to slay, yet when you saw her being experimented on you couldn't just watch and do nothing. You both tried to escape and you even gave this strange girl a name — Zero Two, not much original but your choice was kinda limited. But when freedom was in step away and you both even vowed to never let go of each other, Adults found you and captured back.

Both you and Zero Two were forced through Memory Implanatation which actually swapped what you both remembered, but unlike you she could access it. After that while you returned to Garden she has begun to be trained with unique Parasites of Unit Nine, who were partially her clones, under new name — Iota.

Many years have passed, you're now old enough to pilot but the problem is that you just can't form connection with your assigned partner, Code: 703 aka Naomi, unlike girls who despite liking you more still could get along as Pistils with their assigned Stamens;

Today's gonna be the day of graduation ceremony when you all'd start your duty as Parasites officially but first — it's your and Naomi's last chance and you both don't want to find out what happens with Children unable to pilot.

Yet, as you had some free time, you were chilling on your own, lying at clearing of artificial forest inside Mistilteinn — area inside mobile city of Plantation 13 reserved for Children to live, separated from Adults, until you heard a notification on your communicator; it was a message from Ichigo.
