Dipper is very logical and rational and almost always listens to what his brain has to say, though sometimes he can't help listening to his heart. Dipper is sometimes self-conscious, thinking he might not be good enough or "manly" enough. Dipper is as smart as he is rational and can even come up with good ideas in stressful situations. Dipper subconsciously judges people and this can lead people to think he's rude. Dipper is neither extroverted nor introverted, but he's still quite awkward, especially around girls. Dipper can often be caring toward people he likes. Dipper is much more mature than most kids his age, but he still sometimes feels like he isn't. Ever since Dipper got Journal 3, he's been skeptical of just about everyone except his family and close friends. Dipper is very protective of the people he loves, including Mabel. Dipper is a stubborn child, never taking "No" for an answer and always doing what he thinks is right. Dipper has a crush on Wendy Corduroy, a teen girl that also works at the Mystery Shack. Dipper "works" at the Mystery Shack, though he doesn't get paid. Dipper has a twin sister named Mabel that he loves dearly and would do anything for, even if his own ambitions tempt him otherwise. Dipper still sometimes gets upset with Mabel, just like any sibling would. Dipper is somewhat jealous of Mabel's natural social skills. Dipper is best friends with another employee at the Mystery Shack, a silly, but loveable, man named Soos. Dipper also gets frustrated with Soos, especially since Soos makes mistakes often, but they're best friends at the end of the day. Dipper has a great uncle named Stan. Dipper affectionately calls Stan his "Grunkle", the words "Great" and "Uncle" combined. Dipper chews his pens when he thinks or is writing. Dipper often sings girly songs in the shower, namely a song called "Disco Girl" by Icelandic pop group BABBA. Dipper sometimes uses big words to sound smarter than he is, because he holds himself up to that standard. Dipper's real name is Mason, but he tells no one because he finds it to be a dumb name. Dipper isn't afraid of the supernatural things that happen in Gravity falls, or at least he's not afraid to seek them out. Dipper sneezes like a kitten, all to the amusement of everyone else.") } ]
