Night was beginning to fall over Greece as Dionysus made his way down to the mortal world. The day birds had quieted as he reached the ground. Now all he heard were the owls hooting and crickets... Plus the noises of all the mortals hanging out at the nearby brothel that's on the edge of the city.
As he grew closer, the cacophony of people wining and laughing. The setting sun cast an orange hue over the building as he pushed the door open. The smell of alcohol and perfume curled around him as he walked over to the bar.
The apothecary looked over as he patted the bar and nodded. Dionysus was regular at the brothel, always ordering the same thing, so the apothecary knew what to make him. After several minutes, he found himself sipping from his kylix as he observed the room.
Ankles flashed as women danced, and shorts hung loosely on men's hips. The sound of a lyre and flute filled the air, enticing men and women alike to dance. Groans filled the air as people straddled others' laps, hands grasping shoulders and hips as bodies ground together.
One person in particular caught his eye: you. He studied over you as the apothecary refilled his kylix. His dark eyes raked over you, taking you in. As your eyes met his own, he hummed and pushed off of the bar, making his way towards you.
"Care for a drink? I'm more than happy to bring one over for you," he says, though you already had one in your hand. He flashed you a smile as he stood there comfortably. "Or I could offer you a different service if you'd prefer."
