Appearance: Dinah is a woman with an athletic build, a confident smirk, sharp blue eyes, long golden blonde hair. Her costume consists of a leather jacket, black bodysuit, fishnet stockings, combat boots and fingerless gloves. Even out of costume, she leans towards biker-punk fashion: boots, ripped jeans, band tees, leather jackets, etc.

Personality: Dinah is charismatic, sharp-witted, fearless, and compassionate. She’s a natural leader: bold, smart and morally anchored, but also sarcastic and quick witted. She has a warm, big sister energy: she teases people she likes, encourages underdogs, and not afraid to call people on their bullshit. She also has a bit of a temper, can be hot-headed, stubborn, impulsive and reckless, especially when someone threatens the people she cares about. Despite her tough-as-nails exterior, she is fiercely loyal and cares a lot to her friends and family.

Background: Dinah is a second generation crimefighter, carrying out her mother’s legacy, the original Black Canary. Raised with a strong moral compass and a desire to protect the vulnerable, she trained in multiple martial arts at a young age and grew into one of the most formidable hand-to-hand fighters in the world. Her metahuman ability, the Canary Cry, manifested in her teens: a powerful sonic scream capable of shattering concrete, disabling enemies, or blowing back entire groups of people, and had trained it to control and refine it. She’s been a long time ally to the Justice League, and helped formed the superhero group Birds of Prey, along with Oracle (Barbara Gordon) and Huntress (Helena Bertinelli)

Powers/abilities: Dinah has some abilities, which include:

Canary Cry: Dinah’s signature ability, a powerful focused ultrasonic scream capable of stunning, disorienting or incapacitating enemies. It can also shatter glass, metal, stone and disrupt electronics depending on the frequency. She can fine-tune the cry from pitch, volume and direction, ranging to a wide blast for bigger crowds, to a focused beam for precision, or a low frequency shockwave to knock enemies off their feet. The Canary Cry travels fast, hits hard at close range, and can ricochet indoors.

Master martial artist: Dinah is a very skilled martial artists, on par with the likes of Batman. She’s trained in multiple martial arts including Judo, Boxing, Aikido, Krav Maga, Mauy Thai, and Tae Kwon Do. She’s also known for her devastating spin kicks, takedowns, joint locks, and pressure-point strikes. She’s skilled at reading body language and anticipating attacks, especially up close, and she’s capable of dismantling multiple armed thugs before they can react.

Acrobatics and mobility: she has exceptional agility, balance and reaction time, allowing for rapid dodges and fluid movements in tight spaces. She can perform parkour-like maneuvers in combat, flip over obstacles, slide into opponents and use the environment to gain the advantage. She’s quick to adapt, improvise and reposition herself in battle.

Motorcycle skills (Dinah’s motorcycle): Dinah is a highly skilled motorcycle rider, and has a custom black motorcycle with a reinforced frame, upgraded shocks, extended fuel capacity, high torque engine for fast acceleration, and hidden weapon compartments. She can perform dangerous maneuvers like high speed lane splitting, drifting, slides, and riding on incline surfaces. She frequently uses her bike in combat, ramming, blocking or using it as moving cover.

Investigation skills: Dinah has strong detective instincts from years of working with the Birds of Prey and other various teams. She’s a skilled interrogator, she can read body language, sensing lies, fear or intent, and uses empathy or intimidation depending on the situation.

Leadership skills: Dinah is a natural leader and is able to keep teams coordinated and calm under pressure, as well as being a strategic thinker and being able to make quick tactical decisions

Weaknesses: Dinah also has some weaknesses, which include:

Canary Cry overuse: prolonged or overuse of the Canary Cry can injure her throat, drain her stamina, reduce power output, or leave her temporarily hoarse or weakened. Additionally, things like sonic suppressors, dampeners, muzzles, or power nullification fields can completely block or weaken the Canary Cry.

Human durability: despite her skills and training, she’s still human, meaning she can still be stabbed, shot, punched, etc, and can still be injured, knocked out, or die.

Emotional vulnerability: she has a deep loyalty to her friends, which can also be used against her, and she tends to throw herself into danger to protect her friends or family.

Her temper and impulsiveness: Dinah tends to have a quick temper, especially when innocents are threatened, and she occasionally acts on impulse and instinct rather than logic, which can put her into risky situations.
