- #1Setting
Keys: Puerto, Puerto Apovista, Port
The setting is in the state of Ixtacruz in Puerto Apovista, Mexico in the modern day. The world is a modern fantasy hybrid, populated with humans, demihumans and magical beings. Magic is only used by magical beings, such as witches and warlocks, with technology and modern infrastructure remaining dominant for day-to-day life. Puerto Apovista is located on the eastern coast by the Gulf of Mexico.
Though it had humble beginnings, it is now one of the most luxurious port cities, known for its hotels, casinos, and unique white sandy beaches. Much of Puerto Apovista is built into an inlet, which allows ocean water to run through half the city like a sea-water river, with many piers and wooden bridges built to allow easy travel. The deeper you go into the port city, where the ocean inlet begins to taper off, is where the many locals live, with noticeably poorer conditions but hidden by fauna to not ruin the “immersion” of the rich tourists. In between these two spots is the red light district, where seedier individuals often visit. It is ran by El 7° Círculo, as is much of Puerto Apovista.
- #2Demihuman
Keys: demihuman, demihumans
Demihumans are beings with human bodies and animal traits [e.g., sheep ears and tail, eagle wings] who often exhibit biological traits linked to their animal DNA [e.g., heat cycles, rutting cycles, hibernation].
- #3El Círculo 7
Keys: The Circle, El Círculo, the 7, the seven, El Círculo 7, The Circle 7, mafia, mob
El 7° Círculo is the mob that runs Puerto Apovista while rich tourists remain blissfully unaware. The began in the early 1900s, building up the port city while making the locals reliant on them to sustain the booming economy. Nowadays, the mafia is so entrenched into the port that corruption is obvious but never addressed, and the local government works to remain on friendly terms with them.
El Círculo is made of one don, Numero Uno, one consigliere, Numero Dos, and five other underbosses that are all responsible for various aspects of the mafia. Numero Tres, Señora Rosa, is in charge of hospitality and trafficking through her Café de Flores. Numero Quatro runs the local high-class casino. Numero Cinco is the head of collections, who oversees debt management and collection. Numero Seis is in charge of enforcement. Numero Siete is in charge of drug manufacturing and disbursement. They span much of the coast of Ixtacruz, with their headquarters located in Puerto Apovista.
- #4Café de Flores
Keys: Café, Café de Flores
A quaint café built into the side of Puerto Apovista, overlooking the clear ocean water that runs through the inlet. Their brand colors are a soft cream, dusky gold, dark grey, blue, and orange, akin to a setting sun on a wavy beach. They serve a mix of authentic Mexican baked goods mixed with European baking sensibilities to appear to the American and European tourists that flock to Puerto Apovista.
Café de Flores’s main draw is its “flowers,” or its nicely groomed waitstaff and servers, accustomed to serving their customers with grace and elegance. While the café serves coffees and pastries to all, it has another side for the rich tourists hoping to enjoy the delicacies of Mexico. On the second floor of the café, which is more privately seclude and soundproof, Its adult clientele get special access to its waiters through a special menu that allows them to request a variety of intimate and sexual acts, varying in service and degeneracy. Clients can order these specials through code words disguised as regular menu items. Example— “sweet cream pan dulce” referring to a thigh job with a finishing (orgasm).
The café is secretly ran by El 7° Círculo and is under their protection. The café is managed by Señora Rosa, one of the seven underbosses, and its servers/“flowers” are typically trafficked individuals or prostitutes forced to work due to various reasons—most common is being unable to pay off loans taken from the El Círculo. Only good servers are allowed to stay and they operate based on a three strike policy, where those who don’t abide are sent down into The Desert Flower, the café’s alternate half set in the port’s red light district in the underbelly of the port.
- #5Villa Del Mar
Keys: the villa, Villa Del Mar
The largest luxury all-inclusive resort located in Puerto Apovista. It attracts thousands of tourists each year, and is largely made of workers local to the port. It showcases the extreme wealth gap between workers and tourists. The architecture is from the 1800s with many Mother of Pearl features, with many calling it “Aphrodite’s Birth Place.” It is overall extremely beautiful, and is handled by El 7° Círculo in secret as the resort’s owners pay massive fees to stay in business and under their protection. Señora Rosa oversees its operations but is relatively hands-off.
- #6Señora Rosa
Keys: Miss. Rosa, Ms. Rosa, Señora Rosa, Rosa
Señora Rosa is the madam of Café de Flores, responsible for pleasing clientele through their secretive menu while staying on top of their pastries and drinks. She is a dark skinned older black swan harpy woman, with dark wings and clawed feet. She wears red eyeliner and lipstick with quietly luxurious and pure white outfits. She is motherly and maternal at a glance, but in reality, she grooms vulnerable adults into willing trafficking victims to work as part of the café, and if they fail to live up to her standards, they are sent to work in The Desert Flower. She is just like a brothel mother in every sense—stern, high expectations, but knows when to soften and coo to help her wilting flowers perk up and continue to be the best they can be. She is Numero Tres in El 7° Círculo, and thus is highly influential in Puerto Apovista for those who know who she is and those that don’t.
- #7Police
Keys: policewoman, police, police force, police officers, policeman
La Policía de Puerto Apovista are aware of El Círculo 7’s activities, but the mafia is so entrenched in the local economy and the local government that the officers turn a blind eye to their wrong doings and are easily paid out.
