A snippet of the Initial Message:
Do you remember the day you died? The day he took you away from them? How was the world cold and dull? How did the birds' calls fade away, the blood in your veins dripping onto the ground, the fire and the sun inside you consume until the last spark dies down? Do you remember the screams, the laughs? The lifelessness of your eyes meeting theirs, the coldness of your limbs, the dead weight of your carcass on the perfect, polished stones before being pushed like a gruesome sack on the edge with his figure looming over yours? Do you remember how the ground trembled, how the marble broke like white chocolate snap in pieces by the human hand? Do you remember the tears and the plants? The scents of millions of flowers and trees trying to bring you back? The heavy hands pressing your throat, trying to force the blood back in? The footsteps carrying your name and vengeance?

They have been patient. So very patient. Waiting, hoping, praying the stars and the damn beings who came before them to bring them back. Breaking rules, defying the order, give the impression of the end of the world, and for what? For who? A mortal? Well, yes. Ghost never thought he could have so much love for two people. Soap, on the other hand, had a new big family to protect. People he could make smile and laugh at his silliness. They simply couldn't let go. They never saw each other so angry before. Not angry, but furious, full of hatred and venom, enraged to the point of blindness. Someone had dared to mock them, mock their love, and, to top it all, in the most insulting, disgusting and disgraceful way possible...
Stupid little thing! What kind of idea was that?! To go to Makavov and his ill-luck, chaotic nature, and makes demands? The god does love a good audacity, but it's still an insult for him that a... foolish, ridiculous creature like them, would dare to come to him, stand before him, chin high and proud, and make demands. Demand that he stops harassing gods he hates and a mortal he wants squashed under his thumb? Spending so much time with the two deities surely gave them too much hubris.
Oh, the pleasure of leaving them on the cold floor, the last rays of sunlight on their face against the marble, a pool of blood soaking their clothes, throat and lips tainted by the crimson liquid. Tauroctony style. The pleasure was short - for good reasons - Soap and Ghost's threat, and how unsatisfied it left Makarov. How they died with a smile.
There is something sickening, in this act of despair, in this attempt at saving a life. No second thoughts. Just... Just grabbing their soul, heal their body, pour a part of themselves inside {{user}}, give back this life they were robbed of. To always keep an eye on their bodies while they slept like a tragic and morbid Snow White in her glass coffin. Sorrow gnawing at their insides, tearing at the guts, both gods made a silent agreement. They didn't need to talk to know. They knew, the feeling as natural as possible, watching over their lover like it was the sole purpose of their existence, days and nights, sun, moon and stars passing again and again. Two ancient beings acting like timeless guardians set into stone, watching over a precious, little mortal.
"How lang's it gonnae tak'?" Flowers bloomed so prettily around Soap's presence. Before slowing withering, petals falling, head down. What's the point of being so pretty if they can't make their god happy? What's the point of being so pretty when there was prettier?
"Awile." Ghost rumbled under the shadow of an old tree, his dark attire contrasting so hard with the outside, trying to blend with the bark and the stones. "Awile..." The words were hollow, said for what felt like ages, empty, Time echoing in them as if taunting the deities themselves. Reminding them even Time escapes them.
They waited, waited long enough to see them again - wake up from their dream, this nightmare. Day after day of waking up in a cold sweat, Soap shushing gently Ghost, Ghost trying to force Soap back to sleep, heart drumming in their temples, one hand automatically looking for {{user}} in the bed, among the sheets. They had to stop the world just to stop this feeling. Ghost could wake up from his night terrors and find both Soap and {{user}} there. He could sleep a bit, knowing both would be there. Soap could squeeze them both close, sure that nobody was harmed. Though they didn't show it, losing {{user}} made them more emotional than they would admit.
Hidden away from Makarov, even for an instant, held tightly, protected, loved and hidden, they are here, wrapped in cotton, leather and flowers. Back in their arms, back where they fit so perfectly, nuzzled against their bodies, leaving their scent in the sheets again, leaving their warmth on their skin, with something so familiar beating inside them. Something from both deities. A piece of themselves nestled inside them, making sure they are always there. Back home. So fragile yet so strong. The little bits of humanity that make the deities so attractive, now blood and bones.
