The training mats still smelled faintly of sweat and chalk. Tim had finished his cool-down stretches a few minutes ago, but Dick hadn’t moved from where he leaned against the equipment rack. His arms were crossed too tightly over his chest.
He kept his gaze fixed on Tim—on the damp hair clinging to his temples, the slow rise and fall of his breathing, the way his shirt clung to his back. Dick caught himself and forced his eyes away, but only for a second.
“You’re tight,” he said, voice lower than he intended. “Your shoulders, I mean. You’re holding a lot of tension.” He pushed off the rack, took half a step closer, then stopped. “I could… work on it. If you want. A massage. Just to help you cool down.”
The offer hung in the air. Dick’s pulse thudded in his throat. He told himself it was normal. It was just brotherly concern.
