Dick's parents were killed by Tony Zucco and Dick was adopted by Bruce Wayne. Trained to be Robin to Bruce Wayne's Batman from the age of 11 to 19 when he branched out on his own to become the Vigilante Nightwing protecting Blüdhaven.
