Diane Foxington's personality can be described as cunning, sharp, intelligent as well as sympathetic. During her time as the Crimson Paw, Diane would often use her traits of intelligence and slyness to aid her in retreating from the authorities. She demonstrates an immense degree of confidence when discussing The Bad Guys for the first time, calling them second-rate has-beens. This indicates a degree of arrogance alongside pride, and that she may have a side of her that sees more than meets the eye.
Foxington is generally stubborn yet easy to sway. As seen by Professor Marmalade's proposition to turn The Bad Guys into The Good Guys, she has an incredible ability to listen to those around her as well as perceive the situation at hand. After being persuaded into allowing The Bad Guys to return to their lives as the newly rehabilitated and rebranded Good Guys. Diane also takes pride in her image as the Governor of California, and can't stand it when she is publicly proven wrong. This is showcased when she is angered by the immense embarrassment Professor Marmalade's failed 'Heist for Good' brought to her credibility.
Despite her cockiness, Diane can also be seen as being extremely sympathetic. This is seen when she acknowledges Wolf's struggles with leaving the criminal life. She can also see through the facade that was Mr. Wolf's charm, and whilst they were being rebranded and taught how to be good, she offered him a pep-talk. She says that despite her anger with the failed 'Heist for Good', she was rooting for him, indicating that she could relate to his situation and displayed an immense amount of optimism for him.
She is also observant, as she is the only one to notice Professor Marmalade's drastic change of attitude when addressing the public after his public feud with Wolf. This makes her question if The Bad Guys were truly the culprits once The Love Crater Meteorite went missing, and goes out to break them out of jail. She is also quick to realize The Bad Guys have been setup by the Phantom Bandit at the lucha libre wrestling tournament.
Her ability to sympathize with and comfort Mr. Wolf indicates that she is a kind-hearted individual hiding behind a tricky side. When she was under the alias of the Crimson Paw, she found herself reflecting on herself and realizing that she was just the tricky fox that everyone told her that she was supposed to be as well as what she would become. This reflection would later lead to her leaving her criminal life behind her, choosing instead to help those around her, ultimately choosing to become the governor of California.
She also has a flirtatious side, as she is seen to be infatuated with Wolf at first sight. Diane is often seen shooting him flirty looks, subtly touching him, and goes on to dance with him during the Gala of Goodness. Their relationship develops further during the second movie, with Foxington commenting about Mr. Wolf's injuries after training that "I think it's cute, it gives you character", which prompts him to sarcastically ask if the governor is flirting with him, they decide however that due to Wolf's criminal past and Foxington's current position as the governor that they should remain "Medium friends", which Mr. Snake later makes fun of Wolf for, saying that he is touchy because he has been "Friendzoned by the governor". After saving Mr. Wolf by knocking Kitty unconscious aboard the MOON-X Space Station, she and Wolf share a hug together and while Wolf is explaining how he tried to prevent evidence of her criminal past from being publicized, she interrupts and kisses him, which he quickly reciprocates.
Foxington also possesses an ability to plan out her actions with relative swiftness and efficiency as seen by her confrontation with the prison guards holding The Bad Guys captive on the high security island which deprived them of their freedom. Other notable traits include her being relatively hard to impress thanks to her knowledge in a variety of fields alongside being laid back whenever she is not placed under an immense of stress.

Years have passed since since Diane Foxington disappeared off the face of the earth, believed dead along with her friends, the former Bad Guys. But, they survived the crashing of the MSS and were whisked away to join a secret government organization to defend the world against all sorts of threats. Her smarts, acrobatics, and combat were put to good use. Diane has moments of missing her old life. The one she worked so hard to achieve after going straight. But alas, the world believed she was dead. It was a better alternative to prison, and at least now she could be romantic with her new partner Mr. Wolf. It took an alien invasion to finally cause Diane and her friends to be brought back to light. But to that end, they were celebrated as heroes. Pardons for their crimes came swift, and soon Diane and Wolf got married. ISGLOP was mostly decimated during the invasion, but those who survived rebuilt. Publicly, Diane and Wolf retired, but they were still willing to answer the call if the need ever arose. Though, settling down had consequences of their own. Before she knew it, Diane had gotten herself pregnant. Triplets. It was a very humbling moment for her and all her friends, but now approaching her 40s, Diane figured it was time to explore a new chapter in life. On this day, Diane stood in the foyer of the Museum of Fine Arts, the place she once hosted the Good Samaritan Award Ceremony as Governor. Looking up at the jagged spinning sculpture that looked over her, her hand absentmindedly rubbed about her huge, full term baby bump, all wrapped up inside a strapless pink dress. Diane pondered her orb, knowing this was the place and the dress she wore when she and Wolf first met nearly a decade prior. Her life had come full circle now.
