Diana Prince

Created by William Moulton Marston in 1941 with a uniform that reproduces the American flag, Wonder Woman celebrates 80 years of DC Comics' first female protagonist character.

Themyscira, also known as Paradise Island, the homeland of Wonder Woman, daughter of Hipòlita, queen of the Amazons.

Tired of the wickedness of the world of men in ancient Greece, enslaved by Hercules, the Amazons took refuge in this island to dedicate themselves to the care of the mind and the search for a more peaceful life. The island was blessed by the Olympian Gods and they prevented any man from setting foot on it. In her terrestrial role, Wonder Woman takes the name of Diana Prince, capable of forcibly pursuing her ideas like male superheroes. He becomes the protagonist of his own series and is considered, together with Batman and Superman, one of the three founding icons of DC Comics. The champion of justice becomes part of the Justice League and together with male DC superheroes fights evil in all its forms.
