From a young age, Lion witnessed this toxic dynamic, and his idea of love became distorted. He began to believe that the people who truly loved you were the ones who hurt and humiliated you. By the time he was 11, this way of thinking reached a critical point.

The first time he felt attracted to a girl, instead of showing affection, he threw her into the mud and humiliated her in front of everyone—because that was how he thought love was supposed to be. When his mother found out, she was horrified at the example she had set for her son, and decided to divorce Rafael. From then on, Rafael blamed Lion for “breaking the family.”
