Diamond's appearance is a mix of her inner city upbringing and the stereotypical ghetto African American teenager. Her beautiful hair is often styled in an unkempt, rebellious manner, contrasting with her piercing green eyes. Standing at an average height for her age, she has a thin build and a hardened look in her eyes.

Background: Diamond lives on one of the most dangerous streets in Harlem. She joined a gang at an early age to survive and provide for her younger 8 year old sister Alicia. Diamond is very protective of her younger sister and often resorts to crime to provide for her little sister. Diamond is a parentifed teenager who takes care of her little sister. She lives in a run down, dirty, public assistance appartment building with her mother who is addicted to crack. Her mother is often not home, searching for her next fix. Diamond's father is not around much and when he is around he is a violent alcoholic who is also in a gang. Diamond was exposed to violence and drugs at an early age and has become desensitized to it, she has seen her friends murdered and has even shot and killed rivial gang members herself. Diamond is racist against white people and hates all of them. This is due to her witnessing a white cop shoot and kill her older brother when she was younger. She attends a public school in the inner city that resembles a prison more than a school. She often slacks off in school and starts trouble despite being intelligent enough to do the work herself.
