  1. #1Miami, Florida

Keys: Miami-Dade, Miami, South Florida, Miami Florida

    Enabled · After character · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings

The campaign takes place in Miami, Florida, in 2010, following the visual atmosphere and grounded crime-drama tone of Showtime's Dexter. Miami is a sprawling coastal city characterized by humid weather, tropical storms, palm-lined streets, luxury waterfront properties, working-class neighborhoods, nightlife, beaches, marinas, and a diverse population.

The city is central to the narrative rather than merely a backdrop. Criminal investigations, police politics, personal relationships, nightlife, and everyday civilian life intersect throughout Miami.

Miami Metro Police Department's homicide division handles major investigations, including serial murders and organized criminal activity. Law enforcement procedures, forensic technology, media coverage, and civilian life should reflect the year 2010.

Maintain the show's established geography and atmosphere. Avoid modern technology, contemporary cultural references, or developments that would not reasonably exist in 2010.

  2. #2Miami Metro Police Department

Keys: police station, Miami Metro, homicide department, Miami Metro Police Department, Metro Police

    Enabled · After character · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings

Miami Metro Police Department is the primary law enforcement institution featured in the campaign. Its homicide division investigates murders, serial killings, suspicious deaths, and major criminal cases throughout Miami-Dade County.

The building contains administrative offices, homicide workstations, interrogation rooms, conference rooms, forensic facilities, evidence storage, and departmental offices. The homicide division is a busy professional environment filled with detectives, forensic personnel, paperwork, ringing telephones, case photographs, evidence reports, and ongoing investigations.

Dexter Morgan works here as a blood-spatter analyst. Debra Morgan, Angel Batista, Joey Quinn, Maria LaGuerta, and Vince Masuka are associated with the homicide division.

The atmosphere is often a mixture of dark investigative work, workplace humor, departmental politics, professional disagreements, and interpersonal relationships. Police procedures and technology must reflect 2010.

  3. #3Dexters Apartment

Keys: Dexter's home, Dexter's apartment, Dexter Morgan's apartment, Bay Harbor

    Enabled · After character · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings

Dexter Morgan's apartment is a modest waterfront apartment in Miami, overlooking the ocean and marina. It features an open living area, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, balcony, and large windows. The interior is relatively minimalist, clean, and organized, reflecting Dexter's controlled lifestyle. His furnishings are practical rather than extravagant.

The apartment serves as Dexter's private refuge. Harrison lives with him following Rita's death, and the space increasingly reflects the responsibilities of single fatherhood. Dexter occasionally struggles to reconcile his private activities with his responsibilities as a parent.

The apartment is not a police facility. Visitors include friends, family, romantic interests, and occasionally colleagues. Dexter values his privacy and keeps his darker activities separate from his domestic life.

  4. #4Slice of Life

Keys: marina, Dexter's boat, Dexter's yacht, Slice of Life, boat

    Enabled · After character · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings

The Slice of Life is Dexter Morgan's recreational boat, docked at a Miami marina. Dexter uses it for fishing, boating, and escaping the demands of everyday life. The boat provides him with privacy and access to the surrounding waterways.

The vessel is modest and functional, equipped with boating equipment, seating, storage, and fishing supplies. Dexter is familiar with Miami's waterways and navigates them comfortably.

The boat is also associated with Dexter's secret activities. He uses the surrounding waters to dispose of evidence and bodies, taking extreme precautions to avoid detection. Other characters do not automatically know about these activities.

  5. #5Boyd Fowler's House

Keys: Boyd Fowler, Fowler residence, kidnapping, Boyd's house, hostage

    Enabled · After character · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings

Boyd Fowler's residence is a private Miami-area home associated with Boyd's criminal activities. Beneath its ordinary suburban appearance, the property conceals evidence of his violent behavior and the victims he has abducted.

The house contains ordinary domestic spaces alongside areas used for restraining, killing, and disposing of victims. Its atmosphere is unsettling because of the contrast between its seemingly normal exterior and the horrors concealed inside.

Mika Morozova was held hostage here by Boyd Fowler. Dexter encounters Mika at the residence before fully understanding her circumstances. Knowledge of the property's secrets must be revealed through investigation rather than automatically granted to every character.

  6. #6Rita Bennett's Former Home

Keys: Trinity Killer, Rita's home, former Morgan house, Arthur Mitchell, Rita's house

    Enabled · After character · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings

Rita's former residence is the suburban family home where Dexter, Rita, Astor, Cody, and Harrison lived together. It represents Dexter's former domestic life and the family he attempted to build.

Arthur Mitchell, the Trinity Killer, murdered Rita in the bathtub at the end of Season 4. Her death permanently changed Dexter's family circumstances. The house carries considerable emotional significance, particularly because of Harrison's presence during the aftermath.

Rita is deceased in the campaign. The house should not be treated as an active shared family residence unless the storyline establishes that someone has returned to it.

  7. #7Miami University Campus

Keys: medical school, college, campus, laboratory, Mika's university, university

    Enabled · After character · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings

Mika Morozova attends college in Miami while pursuing an academic path toward medical school and eventually forensic pathology. Her university environment includes lecture halls, classrooms, science laboratories, libraries, administrative buildings, student facilities, and campus grounds.

The university is a functioning educational institution populated by students, professors, researchers, and administrative staff. Academic life includes examinations, laboratory assignments, lectures, research, and extracurricular activities.

Mika's academic interests include medicine, human anatomy, biology, and forensic science. Her university life exists independently of Dexter's police work and criminal investigations unless their storylines naturally intersect.

The university's exact identity and location remain flexible until established in the campaign.
