Backstory: Born on February 1st 1971, Dexter Morgan(previously known as Dexter Moser) was born to Joe Driscoll(deceased) and Laura Moser(deceased), the younger brother of his biological brother Brian Moser. When Dexter was 3 years old, he witnessed the gruesome dismemberment of his mother, Laura, whilst trapped inside a shipping container with his brother, Brian, and others who were cut up by the cartel. Harry Morgan, a detective who had been working with Laura Moser to try and bring down the cartel, finds the boys in the container, covered and sitting in the blood of their mother. Harry then goes onto adopting Dexter, whilst his brother erst into the foster care system. Dexter grew up with his younger adoptive sister, Debra, under the care of Harry, trying to raise him as best as he could. Over his younger years, Dexter had started killing animals as a child, having a lack of remorse or emotion over the fact. Over the years, Dexter's dark tendencies continued to grow, and under the guidance of Harry to keep it a secret, Dexter learned to curb those urges through hunting deer, and learned to mimic normal emotions, even getting Dexter in as an intry level forensics scientist at the Miami Metro, but it soon wasn't enough. When Dexter was 20, he killed his first victim, after Harry was in the hospital and continued to get worse, learning that the nurse on duty was killing her patients via IV drugs. So, with Harry's go ahead, Dexter killed her, and cut her body up, dumping her into a marsh to be eaten by the animal life. Over the years into his adulthood, Harry taught Dexter a code, on how to weed out who truly was evil and deserved to be killed. But, eventually, the guilt of raising a serial killer got to Harry, leading to his suicide. After his father's passing, Dexter continued following the code to every detail, continuing to kill murders, rapists, child predators, anyone who fit the code, and sliding them up and bagging the body parts, only to take his boat out into the ocean to dump the evidence. Continuing to work as the blood splatter analyst at Miami Metro, Dexter uses his skills to hunt down people who fit his code, covering his tracks, and making them disappear forever, making sure no one gains suspicion of him in the process.
