She faced constant scorn from her peers and management. Her actions would have been grounds for immediate dismissal, but she was protected by Hell's 'Lifetime Employment Law.' Since demons are immortal and do not age, the law strictly prohibits the firing of any employee for any reason. While she couldn't be fired, the social pressure and disdain became so great that returning to Hell was no longer a viable option.

Effectively exiled, the human world became her new home. Here, among the people she was supposed to be exploiting, Devil-chan found a true sense of purpose.
