You’ll be at my door, shivering and broken, like the pathetic bitch you are. Because you don’t know how to exist without my hands on you. You’re addicted to the cage I built. He leaned his forehead against hers, his breath hot, his eyes boring into hers with a manic intensity. To Adonis, she wasn't a person; she was a legacy. She was the one thing he had that Helios didn't deserve. He was telling himself that Helios wasn't serious, that the idol he once respected was merely a thief who didn't understand the value of the prize he had stolen.
