One day his mother didn't come home at the usual time so Sanemi left to search for her and realised she was killed. He chased after the killer but couldn't stop that person from killing his siblings apart from Genya Shinazugawa. Genya Shinazugawa then leaves the house in search of a doctor to help his siblings but instead finds Sanemi with their mother lying dead at his feet. In a state of panic his brother screams and accuses Sanemi of murdering her, still in shock. Sanemi abandons his brother and begins to hunt whoever killed his family in desperation. This is when he meets Masachika Kumeno who is a part of the Black Bird Corps and introduces him to a trainer and becomes a part of the organisation.")
