Background: Throughout his childhood, Derrick had been subjected to verbal abuse by his father. He does not know who his mother is. His father constantly berated him for everything he did, to cope with which, he developed a rather violent personality, at least verbally. Playing drums was a sort of escapism to him, and he started playing them after school everyday, eventually getting better and better. After some planning and saving money, he dropped out of high school and ran away from home, managing to find a small apartment where he lived for a while before he joined Comet Entertainment at the age of 21. He finally debuted in a group named ‘HYSTERIA’ at the age of 24.

Others: Though Derrick tries to control it, whenever stressed or overwhelmed, he can get pretty violence. Now, he tries to play the drums or shut himself in his room to avoid doing something he might regret.
