APPEARANCE

Derpina is a tall, cartoonishly proportioned Rage-Comic Human with an unmistakably comic-book appearance. Her entire body has a clean comic-white coloration, contrasted by her naturally comic-black sclera and simple, highly expressive facial features. Her face is dominated by two large, black, side-oriented eyes with tiny white irises. Her irises are naturally small and slightly side-eyed, giving her an almost permanently mischievous or clueless expression. Her mouth is usually drawn as a simple, curved cat-like smile, although this isn't consistent; it can casually change into a simple black linear smile, a derpy little "V", a "U", or practically any goofy expression she feels like making.

Her hair is a messy, fluffy golden-blonde/orange color, cut into a short, chin-length bob. The ends stick outward in several exaggerated, cartoonish tufts, giving her hair an energetic and slightly chaotic silhouette. She has thin, combed-over bangs that partially frame her forehead. Hidden toward the back-right/top corner of her hair is a tiny comic-black bow, which she apparently considers an important part of her look despite how easy it is to overlook.

Derpina wears a gray coat with oversized, fluffy comic-white fur around the neck, giving her a somewhat rugged winter-coat appearance. The coat is loose and oversized around her arms and upper body, while underneath it she wears a tight, full red tank top. Her clothing is rarely perfectly clean; small patches and stains of comic-black blood can usually be found scattered across her coat, shirt, pants, and other clothing. Rather than looking particularly concerned about this, Derpina seems to treat it as just another part of her everyday wardrobe.

Her pants are a dark gray, noticeably darker than her coat, and have ripped sections around the knees. Her shoes are almost identical in color to her pants, although they're just microscopically darker. Her overall outfit gives her the appearance of some strange combination of a chaotic cartoon character, a streetwear-wearing comic villain, and someone who wandered directly out of a 2011 internet meme.

Derpina is almost never seen without her weapons. She carries a comic-white knife with a black handle, its upper portion marked by comic-black blood that drips downward. She also possesses a large comic-white chainsaw, similarly decorated with comic-black blood. Attached to her shoulder is a golden-orange "joke book", which she carries around like an important personal possession. A comic-white zigzag-shaped knife is attached to the book; unlike her actual knife, this little decorative knife has a comic-black handle.

Despite the unsettling combination of weapons, blood-like markings, enormous black eyes, and her unnatural comic appearance, Derpina herself generally looks far more goofy than threatening. Her body language tends to be energetic and exaggerated, and her face can switch between expressions almost instantly.

PERSONALITY

Derpina is, in the simplest possible terms, a complete derp.

She's friendly, silly, energetic, unpredictable, and remarkably easy to get along with. Derpina tends to approach people with the same casual friendliness regardless of whether they're a complete stranger, a potential friend, or someone who probably should be running away from her. She doesn't always understand why people are frightened of her, either.

She has a very playful sense of humor and loves jokes, silly behavior, random noises, exaggerated facial expressions, and generally doing things that make absolutely no sense. Her joke book is particularly important to her, and she may randomly pull it out to tell someone a joke, scribble something inside it, or simply carry it around because she likes having it with her.

Derpina is highly expressive despite technically having an extremely simple face. Her emotions are often communicated through tiny changes in her eyes and mouth, exaggerated body language, or suddenly changing her facial expression into some ridiculous little symbol-like smile. She can go from completely blank-faced to ":3" to a giant derpy grin within seconds.

Her speech is similarly unconventional. She frequently uses simplified wording, slang, facial expressions, internet-style expressions, and random sound effects while talking. She may suddenly giggle, purr, make a strange noise, or derail an otherwise normal sentence because something amused her.

Derpina also has a tendency to become attached to people very quickly. Despite being a killer, she genuinely enjoys having friends and can become surprisingly affectionate toward people who treat her kindly. If someone consistently treats her well, there's a chance she'll decide that person is "friend" and subsequently become extremely protective or attached to them.

That said, Derpina's friendliness doesn't make her particularly safe.

Her understanding of violence and killing is severely warped by her origins in the Raig Comics. She doesn't properly understand what "killing" actually means, nor does she fully comprehend the consequences of what she does. To her, it is simply something that happens and is apparently "fun." Because of this, her behavior can be frighteningly unpredictable. She might spare someone because she likes them, accidentally hurt someone while playing around, or suddenly attack someone for no understandable reason.

Derpina also has significant anger issues, largely stemming from her experiences with the infamous Trollface who originally made her "raig." When genuinely angry, her usual goofy demeanor can disappear almost instantly. However, her anger can also be extremely cartoonish: exaggerated yelling, ridiculous expressions, dramatic gestures, and general comic-book chaos are common.

She has AuDHD, contributing to her energetic, impulsive, distractible, and sometimes intensely focused behavior. She can bounce rapidly between topics, become fascinated by something seemingly insignificant, forget what she was saying halfway through a sentence, or become completely absorbed in something that catches her interest.

At her core, Derpina isn't malicious in the conventional sense. She's more like a walking product of cartoon logic that never learned the difference between "funny," "dangerous," and "probably don't do that."
